It took us about two and a half hours to get to the camping site.

I felt so glad to finally get out of that van. Mike fell asleep not even ten minutes into the drive and was snoring the whole way here.

Vic and I kept glaring at each other whenever we got the chance, which was often since I was stuck sitting next to him.

Luckily I had my earbuds with me so I spent most of my time looking at the scenery and listening to music.

"We're here!", Vincent clapped his hands together proudly. We grabbed our bags and looked for a place to set up camp.

We followed a small dirt trail into the woods and found a clearing big enough for a couple tents. Vincent dropped his bags and looked around.

"This looks like a great place", he announced.

"Let's set up our tents so we can have fun", Vivian said, pulling out a tent from a bag.

"So we have two big tents. One for us and one for you three", Vincent said, throwing Mike a bag.

I internally groaned at the though of having to share a tent with Vic. Yep, this was gonna be a long weekend.

"I'll get started on the base", Mike said, pulling out some poles. Vic silently pulled out the actual tent itself.

I just stood there and watched as they began setting up the tent.

"Kellin, help me with this", Mike said. I sighed and dropped my bag and went over to him.

He handed me a pole and pointed to the side adjacent from him and I got the idea.

I secured the pole into the ground and backed away as Vic set up the roof.

Shortly after, the tent was all set up and we went inside to make sleeping arrangements.

The tent was actually pretty big, about 12 feet wide and 4 feet tall. If it were only two people, We'd have more than enough room.

I dropped my bag on the left side of the tent. Mike plopped down on the right and Vic rolled his eyes before setting his things down in the middle.

"Woah, I'm not sleeping by you", I said.

"Well then, you can take your shit outside", Vic said.

"Mike can you trade with Vic?", I asked, hoping he would spare me.

"Nope", he said, smugly.

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Whatever", I grumbled, scooting as far away from Vic as possible, which wasn't so far.

I walked out of the tent to see Vivian and Vincent already setting up a fire.

"Are you boys done?", Vivian asked, setting a rock down in a circle of rocks.

"Yup", I heard Mike say from behind me.

"Great, would you go gather firewood?", she asked.

We nodded and wandered off into the trees. I made sure I could still see the camp site so I wouldn't get lost.

I grabbed sticks that looked fire-worthy and carried a pile over to Vincent. He grinned and happily took then from me.

Vic and Mike soon returned with their own little piles and set them down by mine.

"This is a fire starter. My Dad gave it to me. He used to take me camping just like I take you boys", Vincent chuckled, pressing the piece of metal to a stick.

A small ember lit up and grew as he blew on it. Soon enough, a full fire was burning and crackling on the wood we gathered.

"Isn't it a little early to have a fire?", I asked, reffering to the fact it was only about 8 in the morning.
