Giselle~

I groaned, slowly sitting up until a sharp, agonizing pain erupted in my head, and lay back down.

"Alex, she's awake." a strange voice whispered close by, and I felt strong arms help sit me up.

"Alex" was to my left, dressed in a suit with his hair ruffled, along with a blonde-haired girl with crystal blue eyes, looking just like Alex except wearing more of a maid's uniform than what Alex was wearing.

I realized it was the man who took me from my home. I grimaced at the remembrance of my parents. Well, at least I now know of his name.

"Hello, I'm Alexandria, but you can call me Alexa if you like." The girl said, and she glared at Alex, causing him to clear his throat.

"I'm Alexander, but I prefer Alex." Alex said, earning himself a glare from Alexa.

"You can probably tell that we are twins." Alexa stated, and opened my mouth to reply, but all that came out was a squeak.

Alex chuckled, and Alexa commanded calmly, " Alex, go get Giselle a glass of water."

Alex mumbled something that my ears couldn't hear, and stormed out of the room, his footsteps getting fainter and fainter.

Alexa sighed, "You have a slight concussion right now, so that's why your head is hurting really bad, but it was worse, but-"

"Why am I not dead? I was sure that monster had killed me." I yelled quickly, realizing what I said.

Alexa leaned back.

"Well, our-"

Alex walked back in, exclaiming, "Alistair saved your life!"

Alistair? Who's Alistair? Unless it's... no it can't be.

"Who's Alistair?" I asked, hoping that it wasn't HIM.

Alex rolled his eyes.

"The Vampire King then, since Alistair hasn't told you his name yet."

Great. A darn vampire saved me, but why do I not feel disgusted?

"No, Alistair hates me." I muttered, and in return, both of them shook their heads.

Alex was fuming with fury.

"Why would he hate you?! He LOVES you! He would have died from heartbreak from losing you, and probably go around this planet murdering innocent people! When you just almost died before, Alistair gave you some of his blood just to keep you breathing! Now, someone who hates you would just let you die. Alistair on the other hand, cannot let you die. So take some time to think about what I said." Alex shook his finger at me, and left the room, slamming the door behind him.

Alexa sighed, turning toward me.

"Don't worry, Giselle. Alex is Alistair's friend, and seeing his friend in pain just makes him angry sometimes. Please try to understand."

Alexa got up from her position by my bed, and left the room, opening and closing the door softly behind her.

Should I try to forgive Alistair? My brain keeps saying definitely not, but my heart is saying otherwise.

"Alex, we should probably leave her alone. She's had to deal with enough mayhem for a day." Alexa said, standing up, walking toward the door.

Alex nodded his approval, and followed Alexa to the door, but he stopped.

"Giselle, it would be wise to at least consider Alistair as your mate."

Alex then left my room, leaving me with all sort of questions.
