Birds. A symbol of freedom. This tattoo, for me, symbolizes freedom after self harm. I personally want this for all those people who self harm(ed), to know you'll be free one day. Free from all the guilt, pain, and suffering. You'll be free from the addiction of self harm eventually and you'll be okay.
I, myself, self harm and I know a few people who also do too. I know the pain people are constantly in. But I'm recovering, trying to get over this addiction it has come to be. Yes, I slip back into it again, and I regret it. But, I'm trying and that itself means a lot. And when I do accomplish this, I want this tattoo to show that it is possible to not be held down by large chains of your past/present/future. You. Can. Be. Free.
