Acceptance

I wish I could save you,
But I can't save myself.

I wish I could heal you,
But the pain runs too deep.

I wish I could help you,
But you won't accept my help.

I wish I could hold you,
But you push me away.

I wish you would accept me,
But acceptance is not your nature.

I wish you would trust me,
But you're too broken for that

I wish we could see eye to eye,
But seeing isn't believing.

I wish you the best,
But you choose to suffer

I wish things could go back to normal,
But there is no such thing as normal.
