Book One
Alex
Monday August 20th. 2:17 PM. Sixth Period.
I wish this day would be over! Our teacher hasn't even walked in yet but I'm just already over everyone and it's only the first day of junior year! I mean what gives him the right to be late on the first day anyway. I was about to put my headphones in to read my book when this man walked through the door. He was tall, buff even through his coat, and was wearing khakis. He looked like someone gave him a book called 'How to be a teacher 101'. His blonde hair was carefully combed back trying to pull off a sophisticated look. But a little patch was falling the other way and his glasses were crooked. He looked boring.
"Alright everyone settle down. My name is Mr. Stone and I will be your U.S. government teacher. Sorry I'm late, it took longer than I thought to get my lunch." He set down a coffee on his desk. He took off his coat revealing a navy polo. Yep. Very teacherly. "Now how about to start the first day instead of attendance we go around the room and everyone says their name and something your looking forward to this year. Let's start with you" He points to me with a smile.
I stand up with a awkward side smile . "Uh hi my name is Alexandra Rhodes but everyone calls me alex and one thing I look forward to this year is having a deeper understanding of the political system." I sat back down as Mr. Stone smiled at me. I smiled back.
"Alright, whose next?"
Present Day. One Year Later.
"Have a wonderful day students and hope to see you all at the game tonight." The principle said over the intercom.
"We're going to loose but you guys are going to crush the half time show!" One of my best friends Sophie said as we packed up waiting for the final bell to ring. Everyone was excited for the football game of course our football team does suck major butt however, the cheerleaders always kill it. I smooth my maroon skirt, a nervous habit, as captain of cheer team, if we sucked it was my fault.
"Thanks Soph for the stunning ray of optimism." My other friend Shannon--or shay--giggles. We walk out ad the bell rings. People starting to cheer in the hallway. GO LIONS !GO!
"Come on we all know all people go to these games for are for the cheerleaders." Sophie exclaim as fliped her faux leather backpack over her shoulder and dodged two freashmen chasing each other through the hall. "Fucking freashmen! Oh! I almost forgot can we stop by Mr. Stone's room, forgot my notebook?"
"Of course!" Shay exclaimed, "Always willing to stay to see his sexy ass." She winked. Sophie punched her lightly on the arm. "Girl, he don't want you. He got a fiancé."
"Yeah." She sighed looking like she was actually bummed.
I smoothed my skirt. We arrived to his room to see a bunch girls crowding around him giggling like idiots.
Thirst bombs. I rolled my eyes toward my friends. Sophie mimicked me while Shay payed us no mind. She was too busy giving the girls death stares.
Mr. Stone looked up and smiled, "Hi. girls, how may I help you"?
Sophie spoke up, "Oh, I left my notebook." She started to look around for it as Mr. Stone held up a black striped notebook, "This it?" He asked.
"Yes! Thanks!" She went up to his desk and grabbed it.
"Mr. Stone, will you be at the game tonight," one of the girls asked.
"Absolutely!" He replied. Satisfied with this answer the girls giggled as they ran out the door probably racing home to put on the skankiest outfit they can find.
"Anyway, We will see you at the game Mr. S!" Shannon said, a little flirtier than she probably intended. I muffled a laugh. My friends made their way towards the door when,
"Actually Alexandra can you stay for two minutes? You told me you had a question about the homework assignment" I stopped, motioned for my friends to go on without me. Once the door closed behind them I turn around to see him walking toward me.
"Homework?" I smirked. He laughed, "Hey, I needed an excuse." He was right in front of me now.
"To do what?"
"Tell you how sexy this uniform is on you." His eyes raking my body. He pulled me closer towards him.
"Ryan" I glance nervously toward the door which was unlocked.
"I know, I know." He sighed and let go of me. "I'll see you at the game."
"GO LIONS!" I try my best to sound cheerful. He just laughed and gave me a quick peck on my lips. I was about to scold him but his goofy grin stopped me in my tracks.
"See you later babe, Come over tonight?"
"Sure. See you Ry.' I give a tiny wave as I leave out. Sighing as I walk out to meet my friends.
