"Keiko-chan, to live is to devour others. Remember that." The ghost of Rizu, who was known as the Binge Eater appeared in her mind. Every single day. Every single second.

"It's better to be hurt than to hurt others. Have you really lived your life believing that?"

"That's it Keiko-chan, eat more. To live is to devour others."

THIRD PERSON POV

"To be an assassin, we must know the basic skills. You will need speed, endurance, stamina, and strength to last and to be able to blow some attacks. Grab a partner and we will practice." Soon, the class dispersed until Karma and Kana were the ones who didn't have a partner. It was because Karma was too strong for anyone and Kana didn't even bother asking the girls a fight.

"Kana and Karma, you two can be partners." Before Karma can even argue, Kana whispered something to Karasuma and he returned a nod.

"Take your positions, begin!"

When Karasuma gave the signal, everybody had started fighting off their partners except for Karma and Kana. They were both building up their bloodlust that they forgot that the fight had started.

"There's no way you can defeat me." Karma stated cockily that caused other people to pause. Karma had a serious face and decided to attack her head on. Kana started blocking Karma's attacks without using any effort.

The other pairs had finished their fight. Halfway through the fight, Kana smelled something that was intoxicating and even pleasing.

It was blood and flesh.

"Kana-san, you should be focused in the fight. You seem distracted." Karma smiled while Kana continued to block his attacks. The class was surprise on how Kana is dodging Karma's blows without effort.

"Nurufufufu. It seems like Kana-san can be a talented assassin. Although, she might need some attitude fix." Korosensei was writing on his clipboard, updating the newest facts about the girl.

"To live is to devour others." Kana unconsciously exclaimed, making the other students flinch in fear and at the same time curious. Karma, on the other hand stopped fighting. Kana felt the urge to kill and eat everyone in sight. Her body was heavily sweating because of the fresh scent of blood lingering through the field. Her kagune was forcing to be let out, causing her shout in despair.

"Kana-san, did you say something?" Karasuma went over to their side. Kana was sure that, he was holding a RC suppressant injection. He faked a pat at the book when in all honestly, he shot the suppressant.

"Damn..you... Karasuma." She passed out while everyone was staring at her.

Timeskip

As Kana's eyes started to open, the scent of black coffee lingered through the small clinic in the old building. She was regaining consciousness bit by bit until she was able sit.

"There's some coffee over your table. It's from Anteiku." Karasuma was sitting, looking over at his paperwork and laptop. He seemed to show off some charisma while even working.

"I can't believe, I, as a SS-rated ghoul is being helped by a bunch of humans. It's hilarious. Anyway, I'm sure you didn't buy this. So who did?" She took a sip of the heartwarming coffee. Anteiku's coffee was simply different from the others.

"The students did. Don't worry, I didn't tell anyone about your secret."

"As if you can." Kana scoffed and even laughed a bit. "Anyway, thanks for the coffee but, I need some nourishment."

"Where are you going?" Karasuma asked in a monotonous tone. It was clearly obvious that she needed food to regain some strength, coffee won't be enough.

"I'm going home. I feel shitty and weak. You probably overdosed me with the RC suppressant." Kana got off the bed and started to walk outside, she didn't even wait for her teacher's reply. Why would she anyway?

The floor in the old building was squeaky as ever, making every footstep a noise. When she reached the door, she hoped that none of her classmates knew what she really was. There was a pang of fright that made her stop and think. Perhaps, it was because that they were trained to be assassins and they were not only normal students. For about two minutes of nothingness, she slid the door and saw that all eyes were on her, again.

She passed by all the rows, and got her bag. No one even dared to speak, not even Korosensei.

"Kanna-san? Are you leaving the school? There's only one more period till dismissal." Korosensei spoke up, although Kana stayed silent until she replied.

"I'm going home. You saw how I fainted during P.E." She started to walk towards the window and eventually, she kicked the windows and left. The whole Class 3-E was surprised, excluding Karma, who seemed to be picking up on something.

As soon as Kanna reached Anteiku—her home—she went directly up stairs to her room, not even bothering to talk to anyone.

knock. knock.

"Who is it?" Kana shouted across the room. She was laying on her bed, with the lights closed. RC Suppressant takes a heavy toll on a ghoul's body, kakuja or not.

"Onee-chan, are you feeling okay? Manger says he wants to talk to you." Hinami's voice was subtle and pure, it was almost like heaven's calling.

"Alright, I'll be there."

Kanna dressed up and left the room. She carefully entered the Manager's room, not making a noise.

"Ah, Kanna-chan, you're here. Please take a sit." Manager was looking through his window with his arms at the back, an example of a classy old man.

She made her way to the sofa, she cleared her through and said, "What is it you wanted to talk about?"

"I know you just transferred to a new school. The section you are in, it's very dangerous. They are trained to be killers and maybe even trained to kill ghouls. Watch out, please." The Manger's voice was calming and soft, just like Hinami's. If only Kanna had a parent, or someone who took care of her.

"Alright. I'll take care of myself." Kana suddenly coughed blood, until she was on her knees. Her heart was beating really fast and her back suddenly burned, her kagune asking to be wildly free.

"Someone injected you with an RC Suppressant, am I right?" She nodded. The Manager quickly went to her aid. "I'm afraid you would eat today or else the burning feeling will not disappear." She nodded once again. She knew what was going to happen, she was going to eat something that was once her. That was why it was better to commit cannibalism.

"Touka will bring your food to your room. Please rest until then." For the third time, she nodded and went back to her room. Her back was scorching hot, and her mind was going crazy.

This is the consequences of eating your own kind, Kanna. What did I tell you?

The sound of Rizu echoed through her mind, making her shout and cry in fear. She repeated the words, "SHUT UP!" or "LEAVE ME ALONE!". Until, there was a knock on the door. She stood up slowly as possible. She opened the door and the smell of flesh made her cilia go wild.

"Here, this your meal. Just leave it outside when you're done." Touka gave a tray that included coffee, utensils and a plate where a sealed packaged was on top of it. It was human flesh.

She went to her bed and stared at it for a while. There was no way in her lifetime she could eat a human. It was disgusting, but she had no choice. It was either suicide or live.

She opened the package carefully, letting the aroma linger through the room. The smell was toxic yet indulging. She was hesitating until she gave up, her fingers ran through the smooth flesh. It was just utopia. She took a first bite.

It's disgusting.

She took another bite.

It's disgusting, yet so good.

It was like what Shuu said, it was perfect harmony.
