Now*

I knew Felix had money. I mean the man afforded himself a mansion on the beach for 6 months with no income to be with me. I just didn't know he had THIS much money." I'm sorry Monty I didn't think this would happen." Felix was apologizing about the photographers standing outside his gate as we drove up to his house. "Someone must've recognized me at the airport. Fuck I hate these guys" I'd never seen him this angry before. "I'm sorry Monty, I should've warned you, forgive me"

"This is crazy, they're treating you as if you're Justin Bieber or something." Was he a rockstar or something, was my little Island really that disconnected from the rest of the world? "Felix, are you famous?"

"My family is rich-"

"Oh really?" I sarcastically cut him off.

"As I was saying, my family is rich and my sister is a well-known socialite, she hangs out with people like the Olsen Twins and Paris Hilton. because we're not ugly that socialite title extends to my brother and me as well. I don't know why people like us so much but they do, so sometimes, not all the time, cameras follow me around, especially when I've been MIA for six months." Felix explains, his knuckles were completely red from how hard he was gripping the steering wheel. It was weird to see him like this. The Felix I knew didn't get upset, but there wasn't anything to get upset at on a 6-month vacation, away from all the things that stress you out.

He parks the car, staring at me, before I Get the Chance to respond to his previous statement Felix starts talking again. "I swear it's not always like this, they'll calm down and forget about me, it's also the fact that I came back with you, they probably noticed the ring. Fuck I'm so stupid, I shoul-"

"Felix, Do you love me?" I ask him.

"What kind of question is that, ofcourse I love you." Felix He is looking at me with the most confused look on his face.

"Then if you love me and I love you, none if it matters right? Just us?" And I meant that I didn't care what people were saying about me or him, as long as we had each other.

"Let's get you inside," He says now visibly relaxed.

I realized we'd been sitting in front of his house for a minute, I hadn't even turned from him to see it. I wouldn't say my jaw dropped but my mouth might've been a little open as I took in the size of quite possibly the largest home I'd personally ever seen. I should've known by the mile-long drive past the gates, that we weren't driving up to some Bungalow but again, I clearly underestimated how rich the man I married was. His house was I could only describe as a castle, I'd say mansion but believe me mansions are smaller.

"This is home," Felix says dropping my bags to the ground.

"Don't act like this is normal?" I say to him half-jokingly. " Fe, you said you worked for your dad...What do you do?"

"We didn't really do a lot to earn all this money. It's old money. My great-great-great-great-great-great great-grandfather built one of the first American railway companies. When you own a railway company, your descendants are set for life, and when one of your descendants uses all that money he didn't earn to build the first bullet train in America and buy other railways that weren't so lucky he triples your networth. We don't do anything, our money just makes us more money." Felix says to me. I could tell I struck a nerve there. It's crazy how these things didn't come up on the island, now I know why. Felix hated his life here, I wonder why he stays.

"Bebe, why do you do it, if you hate it?"

"I didn't say I hated being rich. " He jokes wrapping his arms around my waist. "If it weren't for my great grandpappy, I couldn't take my wife to get a welcome home gift. "

"Oh, a gift, what did I do to deserve that?" I question, looking up at him through my lashes, he loved that. I couldn't deny, I love it too. I'm not going to pretend I didn't find his towering height attractive, everything about him was attractive.

"You deserve the world, Montana. Why don't we go take a shower, and then we'll head out?" He posed it as a question but it was more like a soft demand. The feminism in me dies whenever I look into his eyes. But now I also understand why he acts the way he does sometimes, he gets what he wants. "I'm going to show you our room and you can shower while I get the rest of our stuff."

"You really want me to shower, Do I stink or something?" I joke.

" Mon amour," He says bringing his down to my ears and gripping my ass," Même si ta chatte sentait mauvais, je la mangerais." He picks me up carrying me up the stairs to what I can only assume to be his bedroom. His lips are so addicting.

I never really liked dirty- talk until he'd done it just like I didn't like PDA until it was him kissing me. With anyone else, I'd be embarrassed by how he'd grip my ass whenever he was kissing me, whether people were around or not. Though now, I wonder if would that change now that we weren't on an Island as far away from his American life as possible.

"Baby, what's wrong?" I'd only now just noticed he stopped kissing me and removing my clothes. "What is it what are you thinking about?" He says softly gripping my chin to look up at him, squeezing my cheeks until my lips puckered. Why was everything he did sexy?

"Nothing Baby."

"No talk to me Montana, always tell me what's wrong. As your husband, it's my job to make you happy." He says a little sternly.

"I'm scared things will change now that we're not in Guadeloupe."

"Montana, Do you love me?" Felix asks.

I roll my eyes realizing he's asking me the same question I posed to him earlier. "Of course I love you."

"Then if you love me and I love you," he says kissing my forehead, " none of it matters right? That's what you said to me right?"

"Right," I respond kissing him. I was just being silly, everything was going right so I was just looking for something to go wrong. Obviously, things changed, we were in a different country but nothing had changed about our love for each other.

"Now, may I go spoil my wife?" He questions with a smirk on his face.

"Alright, I'll join you in a second, let me grab our stuff from the car." He says slapping my ass as I head towards the direction of the bathroom.

"Bad Boy Felix Noble was seen at the airport earlier today after being MIA for 6 months. He was also not alone, with him was an unknown woman sporting a very large diamond on her ring finger." While I waited for Felix to finish up his shower I'd turn on the TV in his bedroom to some random channel and of course, they were talking about him.

"Maybe they met in Rehab." The other reporter laughs, Rehab? I'd learn a lot of English since meeting Felix, this word wasn't one but he said it so snidely it couldn't be good.

"Ugh, get over yourself, who hasn't had to take a Malibu vacation now and then." Says the other reporter. "What I'm interested in are those rings," They zoom into my engagement ring and wedding band. "So he got Engaged and tied the knot, this is not a drill people, Felix is also rocking a similar wedding band. An Inside source tells us he dropped MILLIONS on those rings"

"I'm so sorry, ladies and hopeful gentlemen, it looks like our favorite Bachelor is off the market. But can we talk about her for a minute? She is drop-dead-gorgeous, of course only a 10 could stop our Part-" He was cut off as the screen went black.

"Why are you watching this nonsense?" Felix questions remote control in hand.

"I was scrolling through and I saw your face, I was curious. Relax."

"If you want to know anything about me, ask me. All these people do is lie and speculate based on one picture." He was notably angry and I could understand why, I shouldn't be invading his privacy, He's my husband I should just ask.

"To be fair I wasn't looking for it. " I say with a face that reads forgive me.

His face softens a bit as he says, "I know, I just don't want you to believe them. I want you to form your own opinions of me." He kisses my forehead a few times before walking towards his closet. I guiltily follow behind him.

"Stop looking at me like that, How about you head to the garage and pick out the car you want to take." He says with a wink.
