Chapter 2: Glowing talisman

(Y/n)'s P.O.V)

"Sh!t, what the heck was that?!!"
I just now woke up from my really, REALLY weird dream. I have never come this far into it before.

I look down at my hands, and that's when things got serious...
........
I HAD A BURNING ROSE IN MY HANDS!! THAT ROSE THAT FOX GUY GAVE ME!!

"Okay, OKAY! I'm gonna be okay! You can handle this (Y/n)! Just take a deep breath, inhale, exhale."

My little panic attack ends, and so I stand up from the couch and walk to my room.

The rose in my hands is still burning a bright blue fire, and somehow it doesn't hurt me at all...weird.

I make it to my room, find a glass bowl and gently put the rose in it.
Well, now that I have it, I can might as well use it as a decoration, right? I find the book I borrowed from the library, and flip through the pages until I find....a bookmark??

It isn't mine, could it be Hazels?
She had it before me, so maybe she forgot to take it out?
I grab my phone and dial Hazels number, waiting for her to pick up.

"....Hello, Hazel's speaking."

"Hazel, hi! Uhm, that book you gave to me, I think you forgot your bookmark in it."

"Bookmark? I didn't use a bookmark for that one..."

"...What? So it's not yours?"

"Nope, I don't think so. Hang on, what does it look like?"

I take a hard look at the bookmark before answering.

"It....kinda looks like a talisman...I think there stands 'Moon' on it."

"Wow, that's weird."

"Yup. But anyways, it's just a bookmark, I don't think it's worth anything, really."

"Haha, yeah. Gotta go! Bye (Y/n)!"

"Bye!"

Our conversation ends, and so I slid my phone into my pocket.
I sigh and glare at the bookmark.
It's just a bookmark, and yet, I feel like something's...special about it.
Shrugging my shoulders I put the 'bookmark' into a drawer, and go back to studying.

My hand harshly slams the book shut.
"Why do tests exist? If I stood in front of the person who invented tests, I would slap them across the face."

Pushing myself away from my desk, I go to take a shower. Once I finish I flop onto my bed.
The minute I close my eyes, I drift off to sleep.

"Huh?"

"You came back.."

"Yeah...wait, what?!"

My eyes open so fast that I become blind for a split second. When my vision becomes normal again, I can see Tomoe who is leaning in over me.
