No baseless accusations
from Him who died
Bloody Cross, arms astride
He who knows the messy you inside
And crimson Love washes sanctified
Jesus, who knows us all too well - from the clutter in our heart we have accumulated from chasing things other than Him, to the pure worthless rot of sin that we allow to fester deep inside - still chases after us as the faithful bridegroom, as the loving shepherd, as the Creator who has made something too worthy to be abandoned. As Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:13 -- if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. Thank you Jesus for being "obedient to death-- even death on a cross!" [Philippians 2:8]
