Chapter 1 : My Mistake

"Jack, will you mind Melissa for a while  until I sort something out please?" Asked Mum. "Sure, where you going?" I asked back.

"Oh, no where. Just.... Shopping" replied Mum. "Yeah how long will you be?" I ask her because I'm going to Connors house later. "Just an hour at the most. Thanks Jack!" Said Mum relieved.

Mum comes over and kisses my head and grabs her handbag then leaves. I wait until I hear the car going and shout, "Melissa? Whatcha wanna do?"

"Play dress up!!" She shouts back. Uggg no!! "Really?" I asked her.
"Yes!! Dress up! Dress up!" She pleads.
"Okay" I said reluctantly.

"Will jelly be coming??" Asked Melissa.
"Dunno... You wanna ring her on my phone?" I ask.
"Yeah!!! Jelly!!!" Shouts Melissa. You'd really think I'd not babysit Melissa at the age of 17.

She's only 7, but I love her. Jelly is my girlfriend, and Jelly and Melissa love each other. I hand my phone over to Melissa and she finds Jellys' phone number. "Hello?" Asked Jelly.

"Jelly!! Hello!!" Said Melissa.
"Melly!!" Said Jelly back. Melly and Jelly. Funny. Jellys real name is Jessica, but everyone calls her Jelly, even her granny.

"Hello! Do you want to come over? Please!?!" Asked Melissa.
"Okay okay! I will! Could you put your big brother on the phone?" Asked Jelly.

"Okay... But you like me better don't you?" Asked Melly.
"Of course!!! Byeee see you soon!" Said Jelly. "Byeee!!" Shouted Melissa.

"Hello! Where's your Mum?" Asked Jelly. "Shops, she'll be back in an hour." I reply.

"Okay, see you in about 10 minutes" said Jelly. "Okay! Byeee" I said.
"Byeee!" She shouts before ending the call. "Is Jelly coming?" Asked Melissa.

"Yeah, she'll be 10 minutes" I reply.
"I'm going to pick your dress and get you all pretty for when Jelly comes!" Squeals Melissa.

"Uggg, okay" I moan. She runs up to my Mums room and comes back just as fast as she went up. She came back with a sparkly purple dress and pink high heels.

"Do I have to?" I ask.
"Yes! Put them on!" Pleads Melissa.
"Okay" I agree. I go to the bathroom and get changed. Totally gorgeous (Hint the sarcasm).

I walk out into the sitting room. "Jack!! Yay!!! You look like a girl!!" Shouted Melissa. "Am I a pretty girl?" I asked.
"No" said Melissa.
"Awww" I cry.

My phone rings and its Jelly. "Hello?!?" Shouts a different voice. "No need to shout, Peanut Butter!" I reply.
"Can I come to??" Asked Peanut Butter.
Peanut Butter is Jelly's twin sister.

Peanut Butters real name is Megan but we call her Peanut Butter because
1. She loves Peanut Butter
2. Her twin is nicknamed Jelly (so it would make sense)

"Yeah sure" I tell her.
"Yay!!!" She shouts
"You are such a child, Peanut Butter" I said. "I know! Me and Jelly are on our way!" She tells me and hits end call.

"Peanut Butter is coming too!" I shout into Melly. "Yay!" Shouted Melly.

                10 minutes later

Jelly walks in the door with Peanut Butter behind her. "Peanut Butter and Jelly!!!!" Shouted Melly. "Isn't Jack an ugly girl, Jelly?" Asked Melly.

"No he isn't!! Or she I should say" laughs Jelly. Peanut Butter laughs as well. "I'm offended Melly!" I tell her.
She laughs and we go into the sitting room.

"I wanna play hide 'n' seek!!" Said Melly. "Can I get changed first?" I ask her. "Okay, but be quick" she tells me and I run upstairs to get changed.

I come back down and Melly shouts, "Jack is it!!"
"For how long?" I ask Jelly.
"50 seconds?" Suggests Jelly.
"70 seconds!" Shouts Peanut Butter.

"Okay, go hide!" I shout. They run away screaming and I start counting, "1, 2, 3....."

Then after about 60 seconds, I shout, "68, 69, 70!!! Ready or not, here I come!" I go out the door and spot some feet poking out of under the long curtains. Really, Peanut Butter? I walk over and pull the curtain off her. "Found you!!" I shout.

"Aww, I think I know where Jelly is though" said Peanut Butter.
"C'mon! Show me!" I said.
"Okay follow me" said Peanut Butter. She brings me upstairs and into Melly's room.

I walk in and I instantly see Jelly. She is lying in a big pile of teddy bears. I walk over and take the teddy bear that is covering her the most, off her.

"Awww!" She moans. Jelly gets up and I go out of Melly's room. I go into my room and look for Melly. I actually can't see her and she's the youngest person! Weird.

I look in my wardrobe and she's not there.... "Melly?" I shout. No answer. "Melly??" I shout again. "Melly, seriously, where are you?" I shout. Still, no answer.
