One Month

"Ewww." I heard a voice say.

I groaned. Every muscle in my body ached. An annoying beeping sound was heard nearby. And it was...annoying.

I turned my head and tried to open my eyes.

I couldn't remember anything that happen since the past few days. I tried hard but no...It was blank...

"Pius!" I jerked up with my eyes wide open.

I was in a white hospital room. There was something wet on my hand and an oxygen mask in my face. Wires everywhere and....my belly...

I cried out loudly.

Two nurses rushed into the room. One was werewolf and one was like me.

I looked at her and then at Pisces.

"Your in the HOS, Hospital for supernaturals." She said as she stroked my head.

"It's okay don't worry. You went through the change safely, the baby too absorbed the vampire cells. The baby is okay." She said.

"Baby?" I asked confused.

"Your pregnant."

My eyes widened. I was pregnant. With...Pius' child...and he's not here...

"Pius? Where...Where's Pius."

"Calm down."

"Calm down Ms. Wyatt, please." The werewolf said with an expression that said it all.

That was it. I broke down. Sobs escaped me uncontrollably. My Pius was still in the house...no...he's alive...I know it... he's alive...he's alive...he's alive...

I kept chanting in my mind.

"June. Ms.Wyatt. Please calm down...its not good for the baby." A male smooth voice said. I opened my eyes and looked at the handsome young man with brown hair.

Vampire.

"Richard?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm surprised you remember me." He said. I just noticed that he was wearing a white coat...

"Your a doctor?" I asked already knowing my answer.

"Yes, didn't see that coming, huh?" He said and smiled at me.

His gaze then went to my stomach. He put his hand on my bulge...um...baby...bump.

It wasn't that big...but it was big...

"How long-"

"Two months. You've been out of it for two months. " he said. I froze. No wonder my tummy got so big. But what about Pius then...

"Pius?"

"He's MIA. Didn't find his body in the messed up house. Milton is hoping he got out safe. No sign of his sister and her mate either. The King is worried." He said.

Those words set in and I released a breath of relief.
MIA not dead. Thank god.

"How did I get here?" I asked.

"Pisces brought you here. I'll let him explain that to you." He said and I looked at him like he was crazy.

"What? Your one of us now. A Vampire. You can understand his language." He said. I nodded and looked at the nervous Pisces who stood beside me.
Are you okay? There was no chocking and spitting noises. His voice was clear like he was speaking English but I knew he was not.

I nodded my head. Bad people were taking you away. I saw from the window. Couldn't reach in time. He said sadly.

"It's okay." I said.

But I got out in time. Ran through the window. Got under the car. Hid there. He said smiling.

I chuckled at his smile. "Continue."

Bad men threw you in river to drown. I swim well. I got in after they went away and brought you out. Then I asked help to nearby demons and brought you back home.

Got back but home on fire. Brought Milton to you. Milton brought you here. You safe here?
He asked.

I started sobbing again and pulled him up to hug me. This stupid seaweed brain. Helped me. Kept up to his word. I kissed his head and thanked him.

Then I wiped my tears and looked at Richard who was regarding me with sympathy in his eyes...like he knew what my next question was going to be.

"When can I go home?" I asked.

Richard signed "Home doesn't exist anymore June and-"

"Catra. My name is Catra."

"Okay...Catra...you can't go home. Your too weak. Your body is not accepting the blood. You've been changed. So you need only the persons blood who changed you. Pius...you need Pius' Blood." He said explaining slowly and gently.

"So...I'm...going to die? My baby...if...Pius...how long do I have?" I asked.

"No. Don't worry. We need blood of someone who is closely related to Pius. You've been surviving on Milton's blood but Pius' blood was too distant in it. Since he's his step brother so we need someone who has not only Pius' father but also his mother's blood. We have....asked the king."

"What!"

"It was our only choice for your survival, Jun-Catra. And he wanted to know...about you health and stuff. So we told him about you condition. He offered his blood. He'll be here in two days." Richard finished.

Nervousness set in. I'm two months pregnant. Two months pregnant with no information on the whereabouts of the father. Two months pregnant with no information on the whereabouts of the father with the great grandfather coming to meet me .
