Part 47 - Night Changes

Start from the beginning

"I mean, I am happy because if you didn't go there. We wouldn't have met."

I nodded my head as I placed my fork down, I heard Louis phone buzzing as he went to check it. He turned it off and put it back in his pocket.

"Who is it?"

He sighed as he kept his head down,

'Louis?"

I pushed him a little bit more to talk to me,

"It was nobody."

I raised my eyebrows,

"Since when do we keep secrets from each other?"

I asked him as he looked up at me,

"It was my mother."

He said as he placed his napkin on top of his food,

"Why aren't you answering her?"

I asked even though I am not her biggest fan, since she is the cause of our break-up,

"I think you know why."

He stated as I nodded my head,

"Yeah, I think we should talk about that night—"

He surprisingly cut me off,

"Rox, there is nothing to talk about—"

"Yes there is, do you remember that night where we ... you know?"

I asked him as the memory flashed back in my head..

FLASHBACK

I noticed someone sat down next to me but I was too pissed off to look at who it was,

"Give me another beer, please."

The bartender nodded as he passed him a bottle,

"I really just fucking hate being in love. You know what I mean? A pretty girl like yourself should know."

I smiled slightly as I nodded in agreement,

"It's been two years since the most beautiful girl and I broke up because of my stupid mother. Ever since that night, I stopped talking to my mom completely. My father even divorced her because of it."

My eyes lit up as I turned my attention to see who was talking to me,

"Louis?"

"How do you know my name?"

"Because I'm Roxy, duh?"

Louis shook his head as he swigged his beer,

"You must be her twin because you look exactly the same but your not my Roxy."

I rolled my eyes as I decided to just sip on my ginger ale and ignore him since he's been such an idiot to me all these past months already and this is not helping.

"I even hired a hot ass girl to take my mind off of her. But I-I just can't get her off of my mind, after all of this time of carrying this little box ever since that night at my mothers, I can't get over it that easily."

I looked at him weirdly,

"What box-"

I was rudely interrupted as he kept talking and took a little velvet box out,

"I was planning on proposing to her at my mothers place. It tore me apart when we broke up since my family were being idiots reacting to a massive mistake that I've done and I just wanted to tell her how much I loved her and that I wanted to be with her forever-"

"Look, Rox. There is nothing to talk about and I don't want to think about that, alright?"

I sighed and got my purse, he looked at me surprised.

"Where are you going?"

He asked me as I stood up from the booth,

"If every time I try to talk about something from the past and you just ignore it, I don't want to be encountered with this reaction. And if you don't want to fix things then whats the point?"

I made my point and placed one hand on my hip,

"Look it's just hard for me to talk about things—"

I cut him off,

"Since when is it hard for you to talk to me about this? You used to tell me everything!"

The anger inside of me rose as I stood there looking around at people's reactions so I don't make a scene,

"Since we broke up and you started to avoid me and make me look like the bad guy! I had an opinion of you back then and that shouldn't have affected our relationship."

His words hit my hard, I did not make him out to be the bad guy, he hurt me really badly and he thinks that I overreacted and what his mother was saying to me?

"Okay, Louis. Let's not fight about this. You're not even trying to hear about the question I wanted to ask you that has nothing to do with our break up. If you just let me ask you, you don't have to answer if you don't want to and we can move on from this. The last thing I want to do is fight with you, okay?"

I said trying to ease the tension as I sat down in the booth,

"Can we not do it here."

He asked me he as I rolled my eyes,

"Seriously?"

I got back up as he pulled my arm, but I yanked it away,

"Roxy, please come back!"

I heard him say as the waiter gave me my jacket and I walked out the door,

"Hey Rox, what are you doing here?"

I heard Zayn say as I smiled and walked past him, I was not in the mood.
