*Aaron's POV*

-same day as when book started-

I was walking down the hall with one of my best friends when we heard someone having a conversation with someone on the phone.

Hey BFF!!! I was wondering...so uh every month or so my school has this thing where you can have someone join you in school for the day. That day is tomorrow and I was wondering if you're up to it. If not it's cool Ruby.

?

Yeah!!!! I can pick you up silly.

?

8 am sharp sweetheart

Then that person hung up. Hmm...who's the Ruby girl?

"Hey dude! C'mon we're going to be late for practice!" My best friend Colby yelled out.

"Fine!" I took off running to the locker rooms.

"Great practice everybody!" Coach yelled out to us. "I just need to see Aaron, all the rest of you are dismissed!" After he was done yelling at us, the guys ran back to the locker rooms as I jogged towards coach.

"Everything alright?" I asked.

"Yeah, but you seemed a little out of it today, almost distracted. Everything alright?" He asked raising an eyebrow at me.

"Yeah coach. I'm good." I nodded.

"Alright. Oh and can you tell the team there's no practice tomorrow?" He asked.

"Yeah, see you later coach." With that I took off towards the locker rooms.

As I was walking home, I was looking down at my phone and ran into someone. I mumbled out a sorry and kept walking.

Once I reached home I realized how hungry I was. I groaned opening the door then shut it with my foot.

"Mom!" I yelled. "I'm home!"

"Alright hun! I just finished dinner since I knew you'd be hungry." She smiled as I walked into the kitchen. I smiled back.

"Thanks mom." I sat down and ate my food like there was no tomorrow. Then I headed upstairs to my room. I laid on my bed, texted the guys that there's no practice tomorrow, then was out like a light.
