"Hey smartass, you're allergic to peanuts." Samantha glares at me, but there's nothing but amusement in her eyes.
"A girl can hope." I grin at my best friend.
"What's the point of this list?" Sam's boyfriend, Greg, asks.
"We're making her dreams come true." She says this with such a 'duh' tone in her voice and I can't help but giggle at her accusatory expression.
"I'm right here, dorks." I giggle with a slight smile through my tear filled gaze.
They grin at me.
"Thank you guys..."
"Everyone deserves to go out with a bang. Even if yours involves-" Sam stops to look at my list, "-touching a damn whale."
I giggle a bit, reaching up to smooth my long scarlet hair.
It takes me a couple seconds of feeling nothing before my skinny fingers touch my head. My bald head.
I feel my eyes glaze over for a second as I remember everything that's happened the past few months.
"I love you so much, Lucia." She sobs before clutching my thin shoulders tightly.
"I love you too, Sammy." I sniffle a bit and grip her back weakly.
While I'd rather not get into my little sob story, I feel that it's the only way to truly explain my friends acceptance of my unavoidable death and the creation of The List.
But first, let's start where it all began.
