Chapter 52

As I was changing, I noticed a bruise form on my side. I rolled my eyes at it and changed into my relaxing clothes.

My phone screen lit up, telling me that I had a message.

Jon: So..?

Me: yes, I'm getting ready right now

Jon: Quick please :)

I put my phone down and put on my hoodie and shoes, tying my messy hair in a ponytail.

I slung my duffle bag over my shoulder and headed out the arena until a security guard stopped me.

"Where are you headed?" He asked

"Um, back to the last city; Miami" I answered

"Sorry ma'am but the roads are closed due to the snow storm heading this way" he said

"I'm sure I'll be fine" I said

"No, we can't allow this. The roads are already icy and all the plane flights are cancelled. You and along with everyone else here will have to stay here and ride out the storm" he said

"What about the fans?" I asked

"You entertain them then soon enough, we will take them back to their homes in groups" he said

"Well why can't you do the same for us?" I asked getting irritated

"Because the next city you will be is Texas, Del Rio..and you can't be on the highway with this storm" he said

"But-"

"Don't argue ma'am it will change nothing" he said. I rolled my eyes and walked back to the locker room setting my stuff down and taking my shoes off.

I pulled my phone out to tell jon.

Me: Sorry, can't make it tonight, just got informed that the roads are icy and a storm is headed, I'm gonna have to stay here the night.. or until the storm goes away and the roads aren't icy..which is probably tomorrow.

Jon: What? are you sure?

Me: Yeah...why did you want me there in a hurry anyway?

Jon: Cant say :( Well..stay safe babe, love you

Me: Love you too

I put my phone away and took a deep breath, still wondering why he needed me there.

Someone peaked their head in the door, making me jump a bit.

"Hungry?" April asked, I stood up and followed her to catering. "They bought us some pizza and some extra things to hold us up for the night"

"Thanks for telling me" I said having this be the first good news I've heard

"Oh and look aren't these cute?" She asked holding up heart shaped cookies "for valentines day"

I smiled, then remembered something but it went away faster than a lightning strike.

The rest of the night, I was trying to figure out what was on my mind that I couldn't remember.

I finally stopped messing with the heart shaped cookie and ate it, giving up on whatever was keeping me up that night.

My phone vibrated so I unlocked it, reading the alarm.

Anniversary!!💕

That's it. That's exactly what's been keeping me up.

I smiled, it sucks that I couldn't be there with him..which is probably why he wanted me there in the first place.

I looked around to hear the snores of some divas and some superstars. I fumbled around in my sheet, trying to get comfortable.

I started to stare at my phone, then dialed someone's number, not caring that it was 2 AM

"Hello?" I whispered, trying to avoid waking the sleeping people

"Hey, why are you Up so late? are you okay?" The person asked in his raspy, sleepy voice., I must've woken him up.

"Yeah, I just needed to talk to someone" I said

"Oh, um..okay..what do you want to talk about?" Jon asked

"I don't know...do you know how hard it is to sleep on the floor?" I asked

"Oh I know" he chuckled softly as I did the same.

"How was you're sleep?..until I ruined it I guess" I said

"No, you didn't, I couldn't sleep either" he said

"Oh yeah, why do you sound tired?" I asked, it went silent "exactly "

He laughed making me do the same until I covered my mouth to keep from waking everyone up

"I wish you we're here" he said making me blush a lot

"Yeah,same here...I don't know what to do, it's 2 AM and I'm not tired..well I am but I'm not..ugh I don't know so complicated..oh and I also can't sleep because it's very creepy here. I refuse to leave this room" I said making him  chuckle

"What if you need to use the bathroom?" He asked

"Well, I try not to think about  that so..let's not bring the bathroom up again" I said

"Mmm, I see, so you don't want me to tell you how beautiful the Niagara falls are ?" He asked

"Jon I swear if you say one more word about water or the bathroom or anything else! I'm hanging up!" I loudly whispered

"Alright alright" he laughed. It went silent again.

"How long do you want to keep talking to me?" I asked

"However long it takes to make you fall asleep" he said making me smile

"Thanks" I said. We talked for about an hour, it made me happy that he was willing to stay up to talk to me.

We soon both got tired and hung up. Then soon enough fell asleep myself.

"Rachel!" Someone whispered

I opened my eyes and saw April standing above me, I sat up and looked around to see some people up and getting packed and saw some still sleep.

"Wh-Whats going on?" I asked rubbing my eyes

"The roads are clear, you ready to go back to the hotel?" She asked "or do you wanna stay here and wake up later?"

"Um, actually can we go back to the last city? Miami?" I asked, she confusingly looked at me the Cracked a small smile

"Sure, what's the point of going back to the hotel and leaving in the morning to go back" she said standing up and finding her things.

I turned my phone on and checked the time

5:03 AM

I got two hours of sleep..ugh. I can just  sleep in the car.

We grabbed some food they had for us and left to the hotel so I could get my things.
