9 year old Ezra's Pov.
I woke with a headache, and no memory of what happened. Then it hit me like a baseball to the face. How I was at the market and some random guy kidnapped me!! Where am I anyway? I opened my eyes to see that I was surrounded by cement and that I was kneeling on the floor. I tried to get up, but I was brought back down due to the chains on my wrists and ankles. What does this person want with me?
"Oh, I see that you're awake." I glanced up to see a man in a white shirt and jeans standing in what I'm guessing is the doorway, I still can't see clearly.
"Who are you? What do you want with me? Why am I here?!" I practically yell the last question at him.
"Well if you must know. I am Simon, I am a slave owner, you are my newest slave. You are the perfect age to start working. And considering that you were stealing in the market and you were alone, I'm guessing you have no family and no one can come for you." I was shocked, before my parents were taken away, my father had told me about slave faculties and how they were unstoppable, but I didn't think it could be real. Why did he want m... Interrupting my train of thought he began speaking once again.
"You have a gift child, you know not of it yet, but back to business. To make sure I won't lose you, I have a strategy that I use on all of my slaves." I am scared of what he's capable of doing to me.
"And what would that be exactly?"  He grinned and walked out. What the heck? About 2 minutes later he had a hot metal rod that had the numbers 647 at the end.
"Well, you see. I number off my slaves. You are number 647." He then pushed the scorching metal pole into my chest. I screamed in pain, it was the worst feeling I've ever had. After a minute he finally pulled it out. My vision started getting blurry, before I passed out, he lifted my chin, making me look at him.
"You shall never leave this place Ezra Bridger, you are now my property." And with that I lost consciousness.
