Stay up from dusk to dawn

Thumping thumbs, telling surprises

Until disappears the moon

We are so right, who would have guessed

Then comes another day, another chance

I see you sitting under a tree

You raise your head with a smile on your face

No one could be more thrilled to perceive me

And then we walk through long, quiet streets

I long for the noise but you are so hushed

See how we are courage and grace meet

Strangely, I have never felt this comfortable

You remark that you can never be at peace

Unless you put your heart out to me

I marvel at how I could have missed

How great your trust can be

As the humid air caress my face

I remember how there is only you

Though it is all but like a haze

No one guides me like you do

When I lied with reasons and was sure

That nobody would believe

There was your heart that’s so pure

Your faith you always readily give

When I want to shout that I love him

But so sure that no one will understand

I have only you it seems

By me I know you will always stand

We exchanged hearts under the sun

By the warm street where we sat

We were really more than

Companions  that again have met

The afternoon finally closes and

When we separate ways again

Messages you are already dying to send

Here we are now, again thinking when
