delilah didn't know why she thought he would like someone so badly damaged. someone so valueless. someone so dead. someone like her.
delilah didn't know why she was so clouded by the belief that he would ever want to be with her.
because she knew that he liked brunettes like her best friend, not blondes like delilah,
he liked girls with green eyes like her best friend's, not brown like delilah's,
he liked girls with skinny thighs like her best friend's, not big like delilah's,
but most importantly he liked girls that weren't broken.

everyone knew that delilah used to be a very optimistic person.
in the past, if someone were to ask her to describe herself in one word, delilah would say happy. or fun. or open.
but that was the past, and this is now.
and now, if someone were to ask her to describe herself in one word, delilah would say sad. or miserable. or b r o k e n.
but her sadness was no reason to not try and make other people happy.
so she tries to make him happy.
