"Do you think we should make signs, Mer?" Isabel asked her best friend, Meredith.
"Yeah, I think we should. We're in the pit so there's a good chance the boys will see it." Mer says, drinking her Starbucks.
Starbucks was a weekly ritual for the inseparable two. Every Friday after going to the hell hole-aka school- the two girls would go to Starbucks and fangirl. They'd mainly chat about Sounds Live Feels Live, which was coming up in a few days.
"I think I'm going to make a sign asking Luke to follow me on twitter." Isabel says and Mer looks up from her phone.
"You think that'd work?"
"Well it's worth a try, isn't it?"
"We best go to the store and buy paints and paper." Mer stands up and puts her jacket on.
It's spring here in Ireland, which means daily rain and freezing weather. Most of the time, Mer and Isabel don't bother with coats, but today it had started to snow.
"Do you think we should get a taxi?" Isabel asks, "It's too horrible out to walk. I'll pay"
"Yeah, I could hardy pass up a free ride." Mer laughs.
Isabel gets up and the two walk out the door, putting their hoods up. They cross the street to the taxi rank. Luckily, there was one taxi there.
They get in and give the driver directions to the craft store.
When they get there, they go straight to the isle with the paint in it.
"What are you doing on your sign, Mer?" Isabel asks.
"I think I'm just going to paint a drum kit on a page." Mer answers, looking for the colours of paint she needs.
"Trying to get daddy Ashton to notice you?" Isabel smirks, knowing Mer has wanted to fuck Ashton since she first see him on YouTube.
"Maybe." She blushes, "Maybe I just really like drum kits."
Isabel hums, "Sure, I really believe that."
"Ok fine, I want Ash to notice me. In all fairness, who doesn't?"
"True, true." Isabel says as she picks up glow in the dark paint. "This stuff is perfect."
"Ok lets go get some paper or cardboard or something." Mer says.
Once the girls get to the stand with the various kinds of paper and cardboard in it, one catches Isabel's eye. "Bingo." She says as she picks up a large sheet of cardboard. "Perfect."
Mer gets her sheet too and they head to the till.
When the girls get back to Isabel's house, they paint their designs on the pages.
In the end, Mer's has a large drum kit on it and in writing on the bottom 'I'd fuck the drummer.'
And Isabel's ended up having fairy lights around hers. She also wrote 'Luke follow newbrokenscenes on twitter'
Luke probably wont even notice her sign, let alone follow her on twitter, but it's worth a try.
Mer decides to head home, leaving her sign at Isabel's because she will be going back there before the concert.
