"Hey, do you think you can give me a ride home?" Addy asked. Liam had left with his stepdad, which she thought was his actual dad. He never said anything about his real dad. She wouldn't want to talk about hers either.

"Addy, I'm really sorry about not telling you about the deadpool," Scott apologized. He was being eaten away with guilt. The look on her face when she found out was heartbreaking. They should have just told her from the start.

"It's fine, Scott," Addy sighed. "Actually, you can make it up to me by taking me to Liam's house." If he felt guilty, then she may as well get something out of it. Scott chuckled. He tossed her the spare helmet he usually kept for Kira. Addy grinned and hopped on the back of his dirt bike. She had never been on one before and was beyond excited.

"If you crash us and we die, I'm coming back to haunt your ass," Addy threatened. Just to make a point, when they were on the empty road Scott raced way past the speed limit. He heard Addy scream a little, and her grip on him tightened.

As soon as they stopped in front of Liam's house – or so she assumed, she had never been there, and hadn't thought Scott had been either, it must be like an alpha-beta thing – she punched him in the shoulder hard enough to leave a big bruise if he was human.

"Are you going to be okay? Like, do you need a ride to your house after... or?"

Addy shook her head. Her house was only a few streets away so it wouldn't be that far to walk.

She walked up the steps, and was about to knock on the door when it opened. Liam was there. His hair was wet, and he was only wearing pajama pants. Addison's gaze went from his beautiful blue eyes, down to his torso, and lastly at her shoes. Her cheeks were red from embarrassment. She really did not mean to check out her friend.

Scott's dirt bike roared down the street and made her head snap up. Liam had a little smirk on his face. He couldn't help but feel good that Addy was checking him out, and not  Brett.

"Hey," she finally said. "So, I know this is kind of weird that I just showed up, but I really didn't want to go home. And I know I probably shouldn't have come here, but–"

"Addy," Liam cut her off, mid-rant, "I know you're still scared of the deadpool. It's okay."

She nodded her head. She felt safer around Liam. Probably just because he had claws and really sharp teeth, but still. He pulled her inside the house and locked the door. The lights were out besides the one in the hall, leading upstairs. Liam tugged her up the stairs and opened the door into his room.

She stopped right at the frame. Addy had never been in a guy's room besides her brother's, but that didn't really count. Liam rolled his eyes. "I'm not going to bite or do anything."

Addy knew he would never try something on her. She just felt like she was betraying her brother. He made her promise that she wouldn't go into any boy's room until she was eighteen. But, then again, that was six years ago, and how she even remembered that was a mystery.

Liam tugged on a t-shirt, and Addy couldn't help but frown. She had to admit, she liked him without a shirt. He sat on the edge of his bed and patted the spot next to him.

Ah, what the hell.

She kicked off her boots, not wanting to get any mud on the carpet. She probably should have taken them off at the door, but he didn't exactly give her any time to. She tugged her hoodie around herself. Addy was more self-conscious than cold. She still had on her shorts as she didn't really get the opportunity to change back into her regular clothes after the game, with the crime scene and all.
