"I said no Jenn."
"Oh come on Emma it will be fine and you know it."
I sigh in frustration and roll my storm blue eyes at her. My best friend Jennifer was currently trying to get me to ask out with her cousin Marcus and if this was the first time I wouldn't be so dismissive.
Jennifer had dark chocolate brown hair that reached down to her waist and her pale green eyes popped from the contrast. Her tiny frame and model like body made her a magnet to just about any boy she came in contact with.
Then there was me, Emma. My shoulder length, wavy, dirty blonde hair and blue gray eyes looked plain to Jennifer's striking complexion. I was average in just about everything: weight, size, and height. While mouths of guys everywhere drying out because they spent too much time with them open, staring at Jenn, I got as much attention as a white crayon.
You see my last relationship was the end of Freshman year and it did not end well to say the least, and Jenn has made it her personal life's goal to find me a soulmate. And right now that soulmate was her cousin Marcus.
"Em, he's not that bad. Sure a little weird and he can bore the sexiness out of Chris Hemsworth but he's not that bad looking."
"No Jenn. I already told you I'm not looking for a relationship right now. Not after what happened Freshman year," I turned my head to the side, grimacing at the memory.
Jennifer's expression softened and she spoke gentler, "I know what happened was hard and you don't want a repeat but that was two years ago. We're Juniors now! We can start over in life and find you Prince Charming!" Jennifer threw her arm around my shoulders and pulled me into her side and tightly hugged me.
I rested my head in her shoulder and chuckled lightly, "It doesn't have to be Prince Charming though does it? That dude was super ugly and lame."
Jennifer rolled her eyes and shoved me slightly laughing, "I suppose not. I do know how much you love your Flynn Rider. You'll find your Flynn Rider. How about that?"
I giggled in response and said, "I think that'll work."
