"Who do you think you are, pipsqueak!?"

I dunno if I felt brave, or had a death wish. At the time, both options were reasonable. I lifted my head and stood proudly. I straightened despite the immense pain it brought. I looked him in the eyes, and after taking a deep breath, answered simply,

"I'm...Mega Man. NOT a pipsqueak." I declared. I immediately wanted to slap myself. Really? Mega Man? How cheesy are you?

Guts Man glared as he twisted his arms. "Alright then, we're gonna try this again."

He smashed a fist directly into the ground in front of him. I leaped as a massive tremor released from the blow. I landed atop his fist, still in the ground. I began to run up his massive arm. He turned to look at me as I reached his shoulder.

I leapt off of his shoulder, striking his face with an outstretched fist. I worked with gravity through the air and landed lightly on my feet. He growled as he charged at me head on. I rushed him as well, but as we prepared to meet, I dropped down and stayed crouching, passing between his legs.

"Please work, please work." I mumbled as I came up behind his back. I gave my wrist a twisting motion, and thankfully, my hand disappeared into the thick wrist of my suit. A strange cannon shape came out. "Yes!"

I whipped around and fired off shots at his back. Each didn't do much, made a few scratches and dents. But it did get his attention.

"Ow! GRRRAAAHHH!!!" He began to angrily throw punches. I began to dodge and duck, slipping in a few heavy punches to his chest. I continued as he threw rocks and other debris at me, alternating between close range blows and blaster shots.

Eventually, he reached a peak of anger. He roared and slammed a fist into the ground with tremendous force. It caused large pillars of rock to erupt from the street. I jumped on top of one, and sprung off it. I felt like I was in slow motion. As I fell, spinning through the air, I aimed at one point on his chest piece. I had been weakening it, delivering dents and scratches, until I wore it down to the point where it was brittle. I aimed the shot and fired. It traveled directly into the spot, passing through the beaten metal like it was an open door. I didn't have to see what it did to know it had worked.

Guts Man froze. He winced and grabbed his chest as he began to wobble. He collapsed onto his knees. "Why you little..."

I walked up to him and said to his face with more pride than ever before, "Not. Little." I delivered a solid punch to his face, and he fell backward. I looked into his chest piece for a moment, slightly panicked. Thankfully, only some cords had been severed. He wasn't completely destroyed.

I stood back. The monitors in my vision began to focus on him, and a robotic voice began to sound.

Deactivated robot detected. Activating protocol. Scanning...scan complete. Robot ability copied. Super Arm weapon now available.

I looked at a certain monitor. A small brown light had appeared on it.

"Rock? Is it over? Are you alright?"

"I'm fine." I spoke into the comm. I looked at Guts Man's defeated form. "I won."

---

I walked through the hallway at my school. Only a day after the attack by Guts Man, and it was crazy around the school. Everyone was talking about it. No one, however, was talking about the small blue robot who had defeated him single-handedly.

I was chatting with Michael. Apparently, he had gotten the game we had been hoping to buy, and promised that he had saved the experience for us to do together. As we talked however, I noticed a familiar shadow fall over me.

"...Hi Dex." I sighed.

"Hey, little buddy. I time for your guide to take you to class."

Call me stupid, but I had taken down a giant monster robot who could have torn me limb from limb in a second. I didn't feel like taking any crap from Dex.

"No thanks. I wouldn't want you to get lost." I smiled at him.

Some laughs were heard from students around us. He glared at me and grabbed my shirt. "You got something you want to say?"

"Now that you mention it, yeah. Have you always had such obvious eating issues?" I grinned. He stared at me speechless. "Now if you'll excuse me..." I twisted his hand so I could slip out of his grip. Michael and I continued on to class together.

"Dude, what was that?"

"Just call it self respect. You'll want it when I slam down on you in our game tournament tonight."

We laughed as we walked into the room, Dex still standing shocked.
