The Collision

I couldn't stop myself from rocking back and forth anxiously, we had only been standing here for a little over 3 hours but it felt like years. I watched the line double, and then triple. I went to check the time on my phone for what was probably the hundredth time when I seen my best friend heading towards me. "I come baring gifts!" he shouted, handing me a huge hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin. "Evan, have I told you how much I love you lately?" I asked taking a big bite of my muffin. "Yes, but feel free to tell me again." he replied, bumping his arm against mine.
I really do not know what I would do without Evan, he has been my best friend since the seventh grade, before he was that "hot scene guy" when he was still that awkward and dorky guy who could hardly talk to a girl. I sat down on the comforter we brought with us and held the warm styrofoam cup with both hands, hoping to warm them up. Evan slid down next to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulders, causing dirty looks from some girls in line with serious staring problems. "You okay, Hay?" Evan asked, staring at me weirdly. "I'm fine!" I chirped, "just getting really impatient and regretting drinking all that cocoa so fast."
Evan laughed hysterically and pointed across the street, "there was a bathroom in there, I'm sure they'll let you use it. You don't need my help do you?" I glared at Evan and smacked his arm causing him to laugh even harder. I sighed and headed across the street to the little coffee shop. I was walking out of the restroom and looking through my bag when I collided with something and fell backwards. I grunted angrily, holding back some very un-ladylike words when I seen a hand appear in front of my face. "Uh, are you okay?" a gravely male voice asked. I ignored his hand and sighed brushing the back of my shorts off, "yeah, I'm fine. Happens all the time." I joked. Finally I looked up to see who I slammed into and choked back what I presume was going to be the girliest, most embarrassing squeal. This can not be real right now.
