The governor turned his back and walked inside. All he could hear was the loud, continuous volley of gunshots, until finally there was nothing. As he sat down a guard walked halfway though the door only poking his head in.
"They have surrendered sir," he stated. "We have..."
The governor jumped to his feet as the sword that penetrated the guards chest became more and more visible. His bloodied body collapsed to the floor. A young man stepped in, he was tall and scrawny but filled with anger, having taken the life of the guard. The boys father stepped in behind him. Plagued by doubt, he stopped for a moment and looked at the guards body as the life slowly drained from him. He pulled out the pistol that he had taken and slowly walked towards the governor, who know feared for his life. The governor fell to his knees, his eyes filled with tears that didn't fall.
"P.. Please," he begged, barely comprehensible.
He began to beg for his life.
"If it was you, he would kill you! Kill him!" The young man wanted blood and would only be satisfied with the governors death.
