CHARLES

"Bonne chance avec cette fille aujourd'hui , l'homme !" I rolled my eyes, a evident smirk on my face. I chuckled to his accent failure as I flipped his cap backward,"Merci beaucoup, Nathanel, but it's fine if you're having a hard time in the French accent. I can perfectly understand you."

Groaning in frustration, Nathanel flipped his cap back and sighed,"Thank God. I was beginning to hate French. So, who's this...madamoiselle of yours, Charles?"

I banged my locker, banging my head against the locker in utter daze,"Oh, Nathanel. She is like my..." I faced the ceiling fan, watching it's every turning movement,"evangeline." Only Nathanel looked at me in confusion as he scratched his jaw,"Uhm, specify evangeline?"

I was so glad he asked that question.

I held on to the pole, already dashing towards the horizon as a musical number began to sprout out from my mouth.

"Blonde locks running down like a gold waterfall,

with eyes dazzling like milk chocolate in a parfait,

her skin as peachy as a a summer peach tree.

The first time I saw her, I already fell.

Well, that sure was a swell.

Ain't nobody got a girl like that.

Words as sweet as honey,

and as rich as a fat man with money!

Oh, wait. Excuse me, that was rude.

All of my life I've been dreaming this biiiiig,

Ain't nobody got a girl like that.

Ain't nobody got a girl like Lucy!"

When my musical number came to a tremendous end--me, clinging my shoulder against the pole of the streets--Nathanel's eyes furrowed, as if uninterested."Thank you, Charles."

I hopped off the pole and walked with excitement,"Oh, I can't rest anymore, Nathanel. I just can't wait!" I was already hopping and jumping in joy, like my heart sparked and blew fireworks! Le'homme, I'm going on a date with Lucy!"

I started running for my life, the breeze coursing though my face like time flew fast. "Yeah, sure! Go meet your Ladybug, almighty Cat Noir." Nathanel's voice echoed through my ears, while I flew as free as a bird in the wind.

LUCY

I was biting my fingertips, my position cuddled up into a ball, my messy hair everywhere, I was nowhere ready for my date with Charles. "Gods," I muttered,"why are dates so hard to plan. I bet Charles is already on his way to the cafe.

My phone rang, and it was obviously the millionth time it rang this morning. Growling, I grabbed it and swiped answer,"It's 3AM in Japan, moron. Why the hell are you concerning about me every minute?"

The sleepy salmon-headed Natsu replied on the other side, yawning while I could hear an anime going on from the,"C'mon, Luce. I'm only trying to be a supportive friend. Don't friends do that? Literally risk their sleeping time to call their friends in other countries?"

Giving a caustic sigh, I rolled my eyes, nodding to myself,"Well, yeah, but that's not the point! I'm in the middle of a crisis here!" It was silent on the other line, and when I was supposed to reply, he spoke,"Oh, your date with Charles."

"Yes!" I perked, my eyes frantically looking in circles. "Gods, Natsu. You gotta help me! What do you do in a date, anyway? Gosh, I'm panicking. I know nothing of a date! I can't even speak French! Natsu, please--"

"Well, I know nothing of dates, but all I can say is this: just be yourself." The phone cut off afterwards, and I was left frowning at the phone. Odd, his expression sounded pained, yet reassuring. Shaking my head, I began to freshen up.

Charles is an awesome guy, but can I really love him forever?

NATSU

The moment I hung up, I dropped my phone and faced towards the beige ceiling. I bet Lucy's ceiling was lavender, or mint green. I averted towards the big window of the mansion, taking a view of Tokyo. I bet hers is a view of the Eiffel Tower.

I clutched my heavy heart, struggling to calm down. It's only been three weeks without Lucy, and yet I feel so...alone, and empty. Just be yourself? Are you kidding me, Natsu? That was such lame advice! I know Lucy wouldn't be herself. Lucy doesn't even know how to speak in front of a guy romantically in love with her.

What did Lucy see in that Charles guy, anyway? Or wait, let me rephrase that: what did Charles see in Lucy? I have been Lucy's partner-in-crime for sixteen years and Charles has only started loving her for three weeks.

Am I jealous? Maybe.

"Damn it," I sat up, ruffling my hair in restlessness. I paused my episode of Assassination Classroom, and stood up to get a cold beverage.

Then, my phone rang.

Staring at the phone, I grabbed it and to my view, my eyes widened.

It was Lucy.

"Luce?" I said the first thing the call started. In the other side, I could hear ominous laughing from the other side,"Natsu, Charles dumped me!" My mouth fell wide open, and I didn't know what to express.

"What the--what happened?"

"I figured he was weak! I did a simple prank at him but letting him stare at the water bottle for a second, then I squirted it at him! Natsu, if only you were here! His reaction was priceless, haha!"

She couldn't hear me, but I only smirked as I mumbled,"Tres bien."
