The Last Hint [WILL BE REWRITTEN]

Chapter 16 -part 1-

No. I'm not hearing things.
I'm sure it's her. But how?
I here her again together with Melissa's scream.

"Payton?" I muttered.

"Who?" Kathy asks quietly.

"My sister, Payton. I heard her scream. My name."

"But that's impossible, she's-"

"I know, I know. She's not here. But I heard her."

I look back up at the building. Unsure what to do.

"We need to go back. We need to get Melissa."
Sophie says like she's a commander.

"And Payton."

"Excuse me, who?" Ryan cuts in.

"Payton. My sister. I think I heard her scream."

"No, that was Melissa. She was the one who screamed."

"No, I heard her. She screamed my name. She needs me."

"Well, we will see if she is there with Melissa. If they're safe, that's good. If your sister is not there, then that's better."

"Right."

We sneaked in again in a window where the noise came out.
I climbed in first into the dark room.
I hope this is the right room or else-

"Bree?" A girl in the shadows say quietly. "Is that you?"

Payton. Or maybe Melissa.
Who knows?

"Hurry up." Zoey complains

"Oh yeah, sure. Untying myself is so easy." A girl says sarcastically

"Pay?"

I walked towards the dark corner too see Payton tied up in a chair.

"Oh my- Pay?! Is that you? But how-" I almost said loudly in shock.

"Oh no, I'm not your sister." She says sarcastically. "Of course I am, now untie me from this stinky chair."

"Yes, your Majesty." I rolled my eyes and removed the knots from the rope tied to her.

"Guys, someone's coming! Let's go!" Ryan points to the door with a small window in it.

"Hmmmm, okay boss. I'll take care of them." The man hangs up on his phone and opens the door.
"Okay kids, time to- hey!"

"Oops." I muttered as I jumped of the window.

We ran as fast we could, away from the small town of violence.

I looked back to see the man chasing after us. I almost tripped but I regained my balance.

Zoey leads us again to their 'base' so we can rest.

As we enter the small house under the tree again, I let out a sigh of relief.
Thank God we're safe.

Hans pushes a big red button that is on a wall, near the kitchen.
A 'thing' comes down and Hans looks through it. Then I realized it was those things in submarines to see what's out there.

"We've got company." He says, still looking through that- what's that thing called again? Meh-

"What?! That guy really followed us until we're here?!" Kathy blurts.

"I told you guys to stay invisible. What happened, Zoey?"

I glanced at Zoey, I can see that she knows what, but she can't let out the words from her mouth.

"We sneaked in through the rooftop. When we entered a room, we saw a shadow. But it's the standee of JB's shadow."

"Then, what? The standee came to life?" Hans blurted.

"No. Then we heard footsteps so we jumped out the window. I heard some men talk to their boss about the two girls they captured." She glances at Melissa and Payton. "We heard both of the girls scream, so we climbed up to the window where we heard the screams. When Bree is about to jump, a guard comes and sees us escaping."

"And that is why that guy is out there?"

"Yes, probably."

Hans looks through that thing again after we ate.

"All clear. He's gone."
