CHAPTER 1

My Bar, Delhi

"What? Stop staring at me like that! It's creepy.'' Riddhima said and rolled her eyes.

"We are not!" said Sneha, rather sarcastically and Nidhi kept staring her with a stern face, which reflected her disappointment.

"Come on girls, this is our bachelorette's party. Are we not supposed to have some fun?" Riddhima asked.

"Ridhsie. This was your third Cosmo." Sneha said.

"Why? Let's not forget the previous three glasses of red and white wine, mixed together." said Nidhi slyly.

"Okay, fine. This is my last drink and then no more. Even though I'm still in my senses but you both clearly can't see that, so I'm done and down." she said, while raising her hands up, as someone is pointing a gun.

"GOOD!" other two cried in unison.

"Btw, Sneha? Done with the Rakshabandhan thing?" asked Riddhima teasingly, as playful as always. 'Payback time' she thought.

"What rakhshabandan? (an India festival where a girl ties a band on one's brothers wrist.)" asked Nidhi with a confused expression.

"Can you shut your rubbish mouth up Ms. Riddhima Tandon?" Sneha snapped.
"Nothing, don't worry about it." she turned towards Nidhi and explained.

"Oh come on! Okay, I'll tell you, Mayank was sooo jealous of Akshay and Viraj that he desperately asked her to tie rakhi on their wrists. That too on both, on the left and the right. Crazy!" Riddhima explained while stirring her drink but couldn't control her laughter for long and Nidhi giggled as well.

Riddhima, the sadist and moreover who is proud to hold that designation, had a mischievous smile on her face now.

With a sad expression now Nidhi was staring at Sneha as if consoling her. After giving a full minute of visual torture, out of the blue, she bursted into a laughing ball and fell on the sofa, clutching her stomach. Trying to regain her composure she asked with teary eye "Seriously? Hahahaha! I would love to see that happening". And with that her laughing fits started again.

"Well! I can be the background music you know." said Riddhima cleared her throat and started singing "phullon ka taaron ka sabka kehna hain . . . " with perfect expressions.

Sneha threw a cushion on Riddhima. "Just shut up both of you! We all have issues, okay? Nidhi? What did Avinash---"

"Aww, sweet Avi?" Riddhima interjected.

"Not now. What did he asked you to do? Not to work anymore as I earn enough, right? And Ridsie? What about Gautam? He does not even know that you are allergic to dogs! Dumb! Idiot! Morons!" Sneha shouted.

Nidhi frowned on the mention of  'Avi' and zoned out, recalling the significance of 'Avi' or the first time Riddhima met Avinash... Mr. Avinash Singhania.

"Helllllllooooooooo, look what I got!!" Riddhima entered with 3-4 bags in her hand and was literally as excited as  a gold medal winner in an Olympics. But her expressions changed quickly, when she saw him. The man was sipping his tea silently ignoring her completely.
Riddhima checked him out, and frowned towards Nidhi, with a questionable look on her face.

'Shit! Mom didn't warn her.. of course.' Nidhi thought.

"Riddhima, this is Avinash and Avinash this is Riddhima Tandon,my friend." Nidhi introduced formally and he raised his head.

"Oh...that's you... Hey, what's up?" Riddhima said with her ever beautiful smile and sat on the sofa with a thud.

"Hello, Ms. Tandon. Nice to meet you." Avinash shifted uncomfortably, his irriation was visible but he tried to be polite.
