"See Dad even agrees. It is too late to go back over there tonight." Stacy said smugly.

"You better return it as soon as possible which means like tomorrow." Jake said worried for he knew the price of the sweater.

"I'm working with Mom tomorrow." Stacy said sweetly.

"Stacy." Jake warned.

"Who is Anna?" Alicia asked diverting Jake's attention.

"She's a rich girl that rules the fashion of our teenage world." Stacy replied. "She was at the party kissing Jake tonight."

Jake shot her a glare that could have caught her hair on fire.

Stacy smiled. Jake knew since she was having a bad night, she wasn't going to make it easy for anyone else. She started eating her cupcake carefully not looking up at Jake. However, he could feel the glint in her eyes.

"It was a New Year's kiss." He easily replied.

"You are over Brittany?" Kyle asked surprised.

"No, I am going to marry Brittany. Anna kissed me as a celebration in the moment and that was it." Jake shrugged.

"You only stopped because I walked outside and interrupted." Stacy said sweetly as Jake started to send imaginary daggers from his eyes to her brain.

"And she kissed him in the car." Stacy said, enjoying herself but not stopping as she nibbled the edible pearls she was picking off the frosting.

"It was a goodbye thing. I don't plan on seeing her again. It was no big deal." Jake properly said to his parents then turned to his sister, "Just because you had a bad night of drama, doesn't mean you can make more of mine."

Stacy grimaced then glared wickedly enough to make the Devil smile.

Jake shivered and continued talking to his parents, partly turning away from his sister.

"I sat with her at the party while Stacy was out hunting for a boyfriend." With satisfaction Jake heard her gasp. He didn't even bother to look her way.

"We sat out at a table on the balcony and ate desserts. We each had one drink and that is it." Jake said as a matter of fact.

"There is something different about Anna though. I couldn't put my finger on it." Jake voiced his thoughts which he hadn't intended to.

"She is just weird, and I think being alone as well as not understanding what it is like to not have to worry about money is unhealthy for a teenager. She is a product of her environment. How strange would it be to be raised by your staff instead of your parents? Who controls whom?" Stacy stated with obvious envy.

Kyle laughed.

"That was so eloquently said." Jake replied.

"Is she over twenty-one?" Alicia asked.

"No, she is almost eighteen. Her website says so. We were in the same class, but we hung out with other people." Stacy said then frowned.

Jake was stunned. He forgot Anna was his sister's age because she acted so much older. She carried herself well, but suddenly he felt like a pervert.

Stacy knew by his expressions what Jake was thinking and cackled, especially since Jake had yelled at her early for trying to hang out with his older friends.

Stacy turned to her parents.

"She's pretty nice but her best friend is a whore." Stacy said still upset and ate her cupcake with less grace and care than before, forgetting she was wearing the sweater. Her bad mood was written all over her face as she looked ready to fight anyone that dropped the wrong word out of their mouths. Her praise over Anna didn't match her expression.
