Ever since from the beginning, my life has played out the same events. I would wake up, eat, go to school, then leave school after the day, then eat dinner, do my homeworks, sleep, and repeat. By the time I reached 15, I knew I needed a change. An adventure to turn my life around and ignite everything in me.

I've always been fascinated by travelling. I want to know the feeling of discovering new things and going to other places. I want to know how it feels like to do these things by yourself so you can teach your own self to be independent. I want to take a break from this life of mine at the moment and go to some place far away and start over. So that's what I did.

One night, I cam to my parents' room and told them about my plan. Of course my mother and father had disagreed first but I explained to them further to make them understand. After a brief moment of thinking and deciding, they allowed me to go but only for 2 months. I obeyed and went back to my room and slept, knowing that the next day, I'll be free.

The next day came and I packed some of my clothes in my backpack. I also added my toothbrush and toothpaste and my hygiene stuff. After adding everything that I need in my backpack, I closed it and went to my sister's room. I talked to her for a while, telling her that I'll be gone for two months. Being the loving and cheerful sister she is, she told me that she'll miss me and bring anything back for her from my trip.

Then came the time where I was going to leave. I changed into my black sleeveless top, a red flannel, jeans, and shoes. I tied my medium-length hair to a Dutch braid. I slid in my backpack and headed downstairs. My mother, father, and sister were in the living room when I arrived downstairs.

"You be careful, darling." My mother had told me that morning. She handed me a bag filled with a few food storage. She also handed me a jug filled with water. I thanked her for it and went to hug them one by one. I didn't realize I had a few tears that escaped my eyes until Saorsie, my sister, wiped them away. I pulled out my Polaroid camera and asked them if we can take a picture together.

The photo came out and I smiled softly at it. I said goodbye to them and headed to the door. I stopped halfway and looked back at them one last time. I told them that I'm gonna miss them. Then I walked out of the door, to the journey I was about to face.
