Two: "Why can't i be with him?"

Sean O'pry is Alpha Flynn. I mean just look at him. It's pretty clear that he is not human at all like how the hell can there be so much beauty in one body?

I woke up with a serious headache. This is the effect of not sleeping at all i guess.

You know when something weird happened and you are tired but you just can't sleep because your brain keeps racing. That's pretty much what happened.

I heard a knock on the door. Then someone opened it.
"Hey, you're ready for school?" Toby asked, leaning by the door frame.
"Can i just skip school today? I don't feel well." I asked, still laying on the bed.
Toby sat on the edge of my bed. "You okay?"
"No."
"Don't over think about it." Toby said quietly.
"I don't know what i should do." I whispered honestly.
Toby stood up and smiled at me. "Don't worry. I will talk to Alpha Flynn and...i don't know, settle things down. Okay?" He said. "You just stay here and get some sleep. There is obviously something wrong with your face and especially your panda eyes." He teased then walked out my room.

I put the pillow over my face and screamed out loud, trying to take away this heaviness from my head.
I close my eyes again, trying so hard to sleep but still can't. I've been laying in my bed for 3 hours now since Toby left.

I finally decided to get up from my bed and took a shower. I walked down the stairs and head to the kitchen because i know my mom is there.

As i expected, my mom was cooking at the kitchen.
"Mom.."
My mom turned her body to face me and her face turned sad all of the sudden. "Oh, honey. Are you okay?" she opened her arms to me. I walked to her and hugged her. I just sighed. "Sit.. i made you mushroom soup." She said. I sit at one of the chair and she put a plate of mushroom soup infront of me.

I started to eat and my mom just starring at me with a small sad smile at her face.
"I'm okay, mom."
"You look tired." Well, i am tired.
"I'm fine. I just didn't get much sleep last night." I didn't sleep at all actually. I sighed and cover my face with both of my hands. "Mom, what did you feel when the first time you meet dad?"
She smiled softly. "I...i know right away that he is my mate. My heart started to beat really fast and i just want to be with him all the time. Hr was sweating like a pig, but he smelled like mint." She explained with a sad face. Dad died 4 years ago. It must be hard for her to go back and remember all these things. But i just need to know what is it really like to find a mate. "Did you... uhm, did you not feel anything when you saw Alpha Flynn for the first time?"
I shaked my head no. "Nothing. Nothing but fear. He was so...intimidating and he stormed out of no where." I explained, looking down at the mushroom soup. "I don't know, maybe i was just surprised."
"Mitz, im just guessing, okay? But is it possible that....you can't recognize your mate because.....you don't have a wolf?" She raised both of her eyebrows then she shaked her head. "Oh, no, no, no... that's stupid. Just forget what i just said, okay?"
"No, mom..." i look at her surprised. "T-that actually makes a lot of sense. That makes sense... maybe Alpha Flynn really is my mate." I stood up from my seat and kissed my mom on the cheeck.

I never really thought that i have a mate. I thought that i will live my life wolfless and mateless, just like what everyone expects. But maybe i was wrong, maybe they are all wrong. Maybe i've found my mate! Maybe Alpha Flynn is my mate.

I went back to my room and mind link Toby immidietly.

"Toby..."
"Yea, Mitz?" He answered back.
"Where are you?"
"Alpha's office."
"Is something bad happening?"
"So far, he seems chill. Why?"
"I'm going there right now."
"What? Why?"
"I have something to say..."
"Then i will come home now. Just stay there."
"No, i also need to talk to the Alpha."

I took my phone and put my jacket on. I went back downstairs.
"Mom, can i borrow your car?" I shouted.
"Where are you going? You want me to drive you?" She shouted back. I can hear her footsteps.
"No it's okay. I can drive on my own. Okay bye!" I said quickly, i walked out the house with my mom's car key. I head to mom's car and started to drive.

"Mitz, where are you?" Toby asked suddenly.
"On the way."
"Stop the car now." He sounds serious.
"What's wrong?"
"We need to talk." I slowly stopped the car.
"I'm just about 5 minutes away from the pack house that we went yesterday."
"Oh, near the lake?"
"Yes."
"Stay there!"
"Okay."

I'm starting to get really nervous. Toby is not a serious person but he sounded very serious. Then i saw Toby, in his wolf form, heading to my car. I got out from the car and open the back door.
"Shift back inside of the car. I don't want to see you naked." I said honestly. Toby is always careless about me seeing him naked. But no, not today Toby, not today.

I heard he growled, but he got into the the car still in his wolf form and i waited outside until he came out in his human form. Dressed.
I turned my body to face him. "What's wrong?"
"What exactly do you want to say to The Alpha?" He asked, looking really serious.
"Well, mom came up with this idea that, maybe, Alpha Flynn really is my mate." I explained.
"But, you clearly didn't feel anything yesterday."
"I know. But maybe, that's because i don't have a wolf. That makes sense right? I can't recognize him as my mate because i don't have a wolf. But he recognize me as his mate immidietly because he has his wolf with him."
"That doesn't make sense." He said without hesitation.
"What?"
"I mean, i don't know." Toby brushed his hand over his hair. Then he looks at me, and suddenly he pulled me to his arms and hugs me tightly. "Mitz, you can't be with him."
"Toby.. are you being serious right now? Why?" I pushed his chest and he let go of me. "All my life, i thought that i don't have a mate because i don't have a wolf. Maybe i was wrong."
"Even if your theory was true, you still can't be with him."
"Then tell me, why can't i be with him?" Then Toby looks down. He took a step back and didn't answer my question. "Toby, why?"
"Because..." he looks straight to my eyes and took a deep breath. "Because, he killed your parents. Your real parents."
