Superman and
Superwoman,
A match made in justice league,
That people expected like
Peanut butter and
J e l l y,He called her sweetheart,
She replied babes,
And the thrill they felt,
Was
I n t o x i c a t i n g,She laughed at his
Poor jokes,
And he realised her
Laugh,
Was worth every ounce of
E m b a r r a s m e n t,They talked till late at night,
And felt no regret
Lying
To their
Parents,
Friends,
And unconsciously
T h e m s e l v e s,Their hearts beat faster
Than
Drumrolls
And yet,
They tried moving farther
Yet farther
A h e a d,They hadn't experienced
Such a high before,
And jumped over the
Cliff,
Before they could estimate
The
F a l l,Soon,
Like the amateurs they
Were,Their hearts
B r o k e
Trust
S h a t t e r e d
And
Nothing
M a t t e r e dAs before.
So much for
Leaving their hearts
Sore
From
Trying
To
Be
More
Than
Amateur.≠
