On one moonless night,
We first laid eyes
His were too bright
And I was blinded
I was captured
We danced, me and him
To the rhythm of a music
Only our ears could hear
"Tis but a shame
There's no moon tonight,
I always dreamed
Of dancing
Under the moon", said I.
He looked at me,
And I saw the light
In his eyes flicker.
"Maybe someday,
You'll dance with a man,
A worthy man,
under the moonlight."
I frowned,
"But I wanted that
To be you."
His eyes were sad
And he whispered,
"I'm afraid I can't.
I can't be in two
Places at once."
I stared at him, confused.
He smiled, but his eyes
Were sad.
"Ellie, dear
How can you
dance under
the moonlight
with me,
when you're
dancing with
the moon?"
*The moon is in love with Ellie, he came down to the world one night because he wanted to see her up close.
