seducing Grace

chapter 2

Hello everyone. I hadn't been able to write anything in the previous chapter. Well this is my first book so I'd like to know what you think of it so please comment. I might also make a lot of typing mistakes, I'll like to apologize ahead, the mistakes are due to the fact that I'm writing this book with my phone, but I'll try as much as possible to correct spelling errors. Richard POV
I had been enjoying the beautiful view of New York from the window when I heard the door open.
"Good morning Mr wells" I heard that familiar voice greet me. I smiled as I turned to look at the same lady who had called me an asshole earlier today, I watched as the smile on her face turned into shock then a frown.
"Good morning Miss Brooks" I said as I took her outstretched hands.

Grace POV
When his hands touched mine, I felt a tingle. I looked him in the eye, hoping he hadn't noticed the effect his hand shake had on me.
I released his hands quickly and straightened my back as I walked to my seat.
"I hadn't been expecting you to be so....." I couldn't finish my statement for fear of being rude, I had already left a bad impression of myself and I didn't want to make it worse.
"Young?" He said with amusement in his eye, I nodded in response as I gestured for him to take a seat. He sat down then smiled, " Miss Brooks I wasn't also expecting you to be so young, I was expecting someone older with more experience"
I looked up sharply at his indirect insult, I had to bit my tongue to hold back my comment.
"Thank you" I said with a smile. " it's my reward for my years of hardwork" the amusement on his face was replaced by a frown and I almost laughed out loud, just then I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in" I said as my secretary entered inside.
" everyone is ready ma'am" she said. I smiled as I thanked her then turned my attention back to the handsome stranger infront of me.
"Mr wells, please follow me" I said as I stood up from my seat. He followed behind me quietly and that surprised me, he didn't strike me as one who was quiet but I decided to let him be.
I am an architect and I worked for Hammond constructions. It is one of the best in the country with branches in practically every state. Our New York branch was ranking no 1 right now in the state, Our company is a combination of everything that had to do with construction from the architectural design to the interior designing, furninshing, plumbing, painting and all that shiit. we had directors and assistant directors for each department. I was the assistant director for the company branch as a whole and still an architect. It had surprised people how at 28 I was already at the peak of my career but they couldn't argue with it 'cause anyone who knew me, knew I was good at what I did. I sighed as I reached the conference room, I opened the door and led Richard in.
"Good morning gentlemen" I greeted as all eyes turned to look at me and yes I was the only woman in the room.

Richard POV
Why had she packed her hair in a ponytail. I kept asking myself. Did she know how distracting she was just standing there and talking. I turned to look at the other men in the room and caught some staring at her with longing, I felt my chest tighten with anger.
" Miss Brooks, are you the only woman in this company" I saw her pause then turned sharply to look at me.
"Excuse me?"
"I want to know why you're the only woman in this meeting" I saw the other eyes in the room turn to look at me with shock. I was sure no one had ever spoken to her in such manner.
"Should I get my Secretary and all the other female staff?" She asked smiling
I quickly looked away as I bit my jaw. She was a quick one, she really did have a sharp tongue as well as a sharp brain.
She stood there waiting for my reply, seeing I wasn't going to respond she proceeded with the meeting. Introducing each of the staff to me, telling me about past projects, future projects and projects on ground.
I pretended to be listening as my mind wandered away, thinking about the woman in front of me.
I liked the way her ass looked in her skirt. It was very distracting.
Damn! What is wrong with me. Its not like I hadn't been with a female company in a while, but why did I want her so much? I sighed as I ran my hand through my hair.
"Is there a problem Mr wells?" I heard her ask. I smiled as I said no and thanked her for her hard work that we would continue tomorrow. I couldn't stand her not without me touching her.
I chatted with the men, exchanging pleasantries as we left the conference room. I watched her as she walked past us without looking back but I wasn't about to let her go. She had called me an asshole, I needed to show her how much of an ass I could be.
"Miss Brooks?"
She hesitated before turning to look at me.
"Yes sir." She answered mockingly
"I'd like to see you before leaving"
"I'll be in my office sir" she said as she turned and walked away.
I sighed and turned my attention to the people around me. She was tough, but I was hard.

Grace POV
That rude idiot, that fucking moron. Who'd he think he is? Talking to me that way, giving me orders........ My God I could kill him now.
I sighed as I took of my blazer and hanged it on my seat. I sat down, letting all the anger go away. I didn't work with anger, it wasn't my style. I was about to to sketch on my pad when the reason for my annoyance walked into my office without knocking and it all came back, all the annoyance I had put to rest came rushing back but I decided to keep my calm as I looked up gently.
"Grace"he said
"That's Miss brooks to you"
He smiled at me "So 'Mrs Brooks' do you care to tell me why you were the only female in the meeting?"
Fuck.....he wasn't done. He had come in here to make me pay for calling him an asshole
"Mr wells" I said as I got up and stood in front of him, I didn't realize the mistake of my action until my face was just a few inches from his. But I refused to back down or be intimidated. "If you came here to insult me, you can as well get the fuck out of my......." I wasn't allow to finish my sentence as I felt his lips on mine, the kiss hard and rough, I tried to pull away but he held on tight and pulled me closer. I gave up trying as he softened his kiss.
I had been kissed before but this was different, these brought desires I thought I had lost. I was hot and my whole body was on fire
