I was lying in my bed with Harry by my side. He was a great listener, and he was surprisingly funny this time. It's been a couple of hours since I've given Harry a chance. I'm not sure if I would call him my boyfriend, I just don't want to rush into anything with him. He's irrational, and hasty, but at the same time, he's caring, and supportive. We were mid conversation when there was a loud knock outside my door.

"Put your clothes on, and get out here now, your father just pulled up." Will shouted.

I immediately sat up, and jumped off my bed. I rushed to the door and opened it to a flustered Will.

"You get dressed fast." He smiled.

"Har Har." I rolled my eyes.

I pushed past Will and bolted down the steps to casually slum myself on the sofa. I could always use the excuse of Harry being in the bathroom, or him going to get something. Will and Harry had just made down the steps before my dad made his way into the house.

"Hey, dad." I called.

"Hey, baby."

He set his belongs on the counter and come over to the sofa and kissed the top of my head. I smiled and looked over to an uncomfortable Harry. He stood by the archway to the living room, as for Will, he couldn't have looked more at home. He talked to my father, and laughed when he made a joke. Harry scratched back of neck a swayed back and forth on his heels.

"I think I'll be going now. Bye, Rae. I'll see ya soon, Will. And um thanks, Mr Clarke for letting come over." Harry awkwardly thanked us.

"You know what, Harry. Why don't you stay for dinner? Maybe I could get to know you some more." My dad smiled.

Harry eyes widened, and I could almost hear his jaw drop to the floor. Will and I's faces both resembled something close to utter and complete shock. After picking his jaw up off the floor, Harry composed himself and thought thoroughly for an answer.

"Thanks for the offer, but I'm sure I'm already pushing my welcome. Maybe another time." Harry politely responded.

"Don't be a fool. I offered didn't I? Besides if Will turned out to be such a great fellow, I'm sure you're not as half as bad as I think." My dad lightly chuckled.

"Well then I guess I'll stay."

My dad offered us another smile before returning to the kitchen and cooking one of his excellent meals. He's an amazing cook, and I haven't met anyone yet to compare his cooking. I pulled Harry over to the sofa whilst I sat on the armrest drawing endless lines over his back, hoping to calm whatever nerves he now has about staying for dinner. He looked up and offered a small smile that barely reached his dimples. Will offered to go help my dad and set the table for us to eat. I was slightly nervous myself for how tonight would play out. My dad may actually be giving him a chance, or testing him. My dad is ruthless, and aggressive, much like Harry, but at least when it comes to their 'relationship' Harry still holds back on his rude comments, unlike my dad. I think he only has restrength towards my dad to make him believe he really isn't what others say. And I'm thankful for that, otherwise this dinner could end very quickly, and very badly.

My dad called us to dinner, and all four of sat around the large square table. My dad had made some fancy type of Italian meal, which I forget the long and complicated name of. Will dug in first breaking the awkward tension. I took small bites and stubbly stared from underneath my lashes at the two men that don't get along.

"Rae, I'm not going to kill Harry, you can relax." My dad breathlessly laughed.

"I just don't see how you can go from hating him, to inviting him to dinner." I admitted.
