I have an enthusiasm for ballet that has no equal in my heart and soul. Ballet is the purest, most emotional form of art. Your body is the canvas and the brush. It is human emotions portrayed through feet and arms, a hidden language of the soul.
One part of ballet, the part I appreciate most, is the raw emotion you pour from the deepest crevasses of your heart out into the world, so the people watching you can feel your pain, your joy, your sorrow and your triumphs. When you dance you become the character and move with the emotions of the piece, and though it is impossible to master ballet one thing that makes the best ballerinas the best is their ability to embody their character and also make it theirs. Another good trait in a ballerina is being able to make the character and her/his emotions through the story their own. That makes it more interesting to watch, because the performance is now the dancer's which gives it another layer.
Discipline is important to a budding ballerina, because you need to learn to control your body and your movements. Ballet requires the most discipline of any kind of dance and art. To be a ballerina you have to have an incredible amount of self restraint and pain tolerance. When you are in class en pointe it isn't going to feel like a bubble bath, you need to be disciplined to hold yourself in the proper way and complete every movement to the best of your ability. Discipline also means always being in the right place at the right time and not goofing off in class.
Ballet is stunning not only because of the pirouettes and grande jetés, it is the bourrées and tendus that show the dancer is not just tricks, but also technique, and that is hard to do. In class you work mostly on the " showy " steps and not on the basic technique of a dance.  When you watch a dancer you watch for the extensions and pirouettes and it takes a more trained and detailed oriented eye to notice these things, but a good ballerina executes all the little things well and the dance will look more polished and easy.
Though emotion and beauty in ballet may go hand in hand there is no denying that the beauty of ballet is what can woo even the gruffest men. My cousins, boys of 11 and 9, went to see the Nutcracker. My uncle said that is was one of the few times they stayed quiet and still, watching the dancers. Even if the ballerina herself is not beautiful her movements are graceful, fluid, and swift on stage which can make up for any beauty not found in the face.  A ballerina doing bourrées en pointe is one of the most beautiful things in this world. It looks as if she is hovering above the ground.
Ballet is my true passion, it is soft but precise and it gives me an incredible joy to be able to do something so beautiful. Though it is difficult and impossible to master if you work hard enough you can do it well. Even when you are in the classroom at the barre it is beautiful and fulfilling in a way no other stretching is, I adore ballet.

"Ballet is a way to express your emotions When words can't do them justice."
