CHAPTER 3: Packing for Home

I woke up crying that morning, I haven't had a dream of my dad since I was sixteen . It was hard losing him at a young age. Now I'm nineteen and everything is different. I'm a world known as a DJ and it was stressful but worth it. Music was my escape when I was little. Now, working with it makes me realize why I loved music so much.

I jumped out of the bed in only my baggy shirt and shorts. I looked out the window as I am being in Japan for the last week of my tour life. I guess I should pack what little things I have, you'd think after being on tour for so many years I'd have a lot more than what I actually have. Really, all I need is a duffle bag and a small suitcase. I wasn't one for buying things because I never had the time. Get on the bus, practice songs, get off the bus, set up, and tweet out my show. Then repeat after one night of sleep, it wasn't the greatest way but I at least got sleep. Some people don't when on tour.

I looked at the clock, 1:45, it's almost two, I have a lot of time to kill today. Where to go though? I've always wanted to visit Japan and now that I have the chance, I should tour around. I don't have to be anywhere until 11 tonight. I guess I could walk around and see what cool things I could get.

I placed my packed bags on my bed and left one unzipped just in case I do buy something and I need to pack it. Meanwhile I grab a beanie, sunglasses, a flannel shirt and some ripped jeans with my military boots. Put a little eyeliner on and mascara before leaving my hotel room and go out exploring. This is going to be fun!

Two hours later

Dear god! How do these people know it's me! I blend into the crowd with everyone else. Why won't they leave me alone? I sighed and sat down trying to catch my breath. If another fan girl comes up to me screaming, I'm gonna fly away! I figured I'd give it like 10 minutes before I would go back out there.

I checked my phone to see if I had any messages. I saw my twitter exploded with spotting of me. I giggled softly, seeing how stupid I looked. Then my phone buzzed, it was a text from Michael Clifford. Wow, I haven't talked to him since I left.

Hey June~ Michael

I stared at the message from him for a bit. Then he sent me another one. I see you're being chased around Japan right now. It's kind of funny.~Michael

Wait does he follow my twitter? I should probably text him back before he thinks I'm dead. Oh you saw that? Haha yeah I decided to take a day off and explore around. Worse decision ever xD~June

I bet it wasn't the worst decision. Haha but yeah I thought I'd say hey because well. I haven't talked to you since you left two years ago.~Michael

Wow yeah, sorry I've been so out of contact with you.~June

Yeah also Nicole told me, you're coming home aren't you?~Michael

Fucking Nicole being a blabber mouth. Great and she told me she wouldn't have told anyone but she told him. God damnit, it was going to be a surprise.~June

Lol did you honestly think she would keep it a secret??~Michael

Not really Michael, but do you think she told anyone else?~June

No I don't think so, the other boys are a bit clueless right now.~Michael

Oh thank god, that's a relief.~June

Haha well I've gotta go to the studio and record a song with them now.~Michael

Oh yeah, Nicole told me. Congrats on getting a deal with MTV. It's pretty hard to catch their eyes.~June

Yeah, we're so happy about it too. No longer do we play in our garage. We play on stage!~Michael

The best of luck to you, Michael!~June

Thanks June! It was great texting you, can't wait to see you in my classes in two weeks!"~Michael

Same to you Michael!~June

Then he stopped texting me, just like that. I realized I've been sitting in the middle of the park smiling like a complete idiot. Was I gaining feelings for the boy? No, I shouldn't. I have Bennett and that's all I need. Anyways, Michael is busy with his band now and I shouldn't distract him from his work.

4 hours later.

I come back to my hotel room to relax for a bit and see my twitter explode more. I packed the shirt that I bought, the leggings and the new benny.

Laying down on the bed, I stare up at the ceiling. My phone started to buzz again and it was a FaceTime request from Michael. I accepted it and I smiled. "Hey Michael!"

Except it wasn't Michael, it was Calum. "Oh my god, you picked up! I didn't think you would pick up!"

The Luke joined in, "Holy shit she looks different!"

Then Ashton, "Well duh, she's been gone for two years, of course she's gonna change."

I sat there listening to them bicker for a bit before I heard his voice. "Okay guys, can you stop hitting on her? She does have a boyfriend remember."

Michael's voice sounded way different. Then Calum blurted out, "Lucky man! You got her before we did!"

I turned bright red wishing that was real. Then Luke chimed in, "She's blushing so it must be true! Lucky Michael got himself a girlfriend."

"Guys, guys, guys.. We're not dating! I'm still with Bennett, so Michael and I aren't dating."

"Oh damn, you two would have been cute. Well as you said you've got Bennett!" Ashton said while pulling his long hair out of his face with a bandana.

"You should have tapped that two years ago Michael!" Luke looking back at Michael with a soft smirk.

Michael glares at Luke before opening his mouth, "Luke, can I have my phone back please? Or do I need to tackle you."

Calum jokingly starts to shake, "Michaels smiling! Better take him serious about the tackling deal!"

Luke hands Michael back his phone, "Oh fine, here's your phone man. We were only joking around with you and her."

"Mhmm sure" Michael smiled at Luke before moving outside to the cold to talk to me. "So now I get to see the lovely June alone."

"Lovely June? Wow someone is trying to make me smile." I did smile when I said that.

"Yeah, just like old times right?" He smiled soft, his pale face and bright green eyes looked so sad compared to his smile.

"Yeah just like old times Michael." I tilted my head away so he wouldn't see me tear up on camera.

"June look at me, I know you're crying. You do that when you're trying to hide the fact you're crying."

I looked at him with little tears in my eyes. "Sorry, it's just-- When the first time we talked I had no clue who the hell you were, but you were there to comfort me. I guess I really never thanked you for that, did I?"

We just stared at each other for a long period of time. Before he sighed, turning away and the snow starting to fall behind him. Slowly like a snow globe with the sun at it's highest peak of the day. He looked at me with his eyes being greener than ever. "June... You mean the world to me."
