I sat there in my car just listening to the sounds of the engines roar to life. This was it, the race was about to begin and I am beyond focused to win. I had my white with blue striped Koenigsegg Agera R pulled up to the starting line, pressing on the gas pedal to make it roar to life. I kept looking forward not bothering to see my opponents on the left and right side of me. My mind was set and determined to finish the race in first place.
Before I knew it there was a girl who walked from one side of the road to the other holding a white bandanna in the air. Once the girl reached to the other side she said, "GO!" and dropped the bandanna and that is when we all took off. The race was on and I was in second place, with one opponent head of me and four behind.
Holding onto the steering wheel tight with steady hands and eyes focused on the road I pushed the gas pedal down as far as it could go not letting up. Shifting only when I needed to which was quite often. I was pushing around 110 mph going down a straight away letting off the gas pedal pulling my e-brake to only drift around a curve.
The race was only three miles longs, which was the straight a way was one mile once we hit the curve began our second mile. It curves straight curves for a mile kind of like the Lombard Street in California but in this case it was not short it was a mile long.
All I had to do was stay close and not lose the person in front of me, which was none other than Marco. I'm not going to lie he is a good racer but not good enough. I had him beat before he even knew it. Around the last curve you hit a straight a way he went to far on the outside and that was my opportunity. I drifted around the curve and shifted going back in to the right gear and pushed the gas pedal down, which launched me ahead of Marco. I took the inside lane that gave me the advantage to pass him.
I didn't bother looking to where I just passed him my eyes were focused a head. One more mile and this was it. Going down the straight a way I had to turn right and than make a sharp turn left, which led down an ally way. I knew I was getting close to the finish line with Marco hot on my tail. A thousand more feet and that was it Marco pushed his NOS and that was the only way he got beside me but it was to late I knew his move before he even did. I pushed my NOS when his front bumper started to pass mine and that was when I got the advantage to pass him by.
I crossed the finish line and most of the people cheered while the others looked beyond pissed. I guess they weren't expecting the newcomer to beat one of the toughest racers in the Underground.
