You stepped into the house, still shaken up. You quietly set your books down on the table and took a deep breath of the wonderful chocolate chip cookie smell that filled the air.

"Oh, honey, I'm so glad you're home." Your mother walked in through the doorway.

Your mother, Sharon (L/n), was the sweetest, most wonderful woman on the whole wide world. She cared for you so much and always made sure you were okay. She had long hair, the same color as your own, and bright blue eyes that sparkled in any light. Her face was wrinkled with laughter lines and her hands wrinkled from work.

"Oh, sweetheart, did something happen?" She put her hands on your cheeks. "Baby, you look so pale. Are you okay? What happened?"

In truth, your head was pounding. You were getting a bad migraine and the lights were hurting your eyes. It was sorta hard to breathe in too... "I'm fine, mom." You smiled at her. "I just... Had an incident on the way home."

"Oh dear! Did you have an attack?" Her face was drawn up with worry.

"No, just sit down with me." You sat down at the table as she grabbed you a glass of water. She sat down across from you. "I was walking through the alley... And... uh... Well, these guys tried to take my wallet." Your mother's face changed from worried to that of pure horror. "But this boy... He jumped down from the rooftops and beat them up." You smiled.

Your mother rose her brows, looking less horrified. "And whom do you suppose it could have been?" She sounded awed.

"I don't know." You shrugged. "He was nice... And I never even got a chance to thank him..." Your mother insisted details and so you told all about the funny boy with the cape that took out the huge men with bats.

"I think it was Robin." She said firmly, leaning back in her chair and crossing her arms.

"What?" I rose a brow.

"I think Boy Wonder, Robin, saved you." She sounded so sure of herself it made you chuckle. "I'm serious! Here, post a blog or YouTube video thanking him. I'll bet you any amount of money, it truly was Robin."

"Mom, no." You said, suddenly feeling insecure. "No, I'm not posting a YouTube video."

"And why not?"

You looked away ashamed. You didn't want people to see your face. See the sickness in your eyes. See your pale skin and the dark circles under your eyes. You didn't want them to see all the bandages from the shots and tests.

"Honey," Sharon gently laid a hand on your own. "No one is going to judge you, sweetheart. I promise. If they do, I'll get their butts kicked off of YouTube forever."

You sighed and smiled at her. "Okay... Help me make it?"

"Of course."
