"Um. Thanks for standing up for me back there.." Hunter whispered, keeping his eyes glued to the ground.

"It was nothing.. Thanks for saying somthing.." I mumbled, feeling awkward.

"Obviously it was somthing. Dont mention it. What happened to your arm?" Hunter asked, looking like he was starting to feel more comfortable. I looked at him.

"Can you keep a secret?" I asked, feeling like I had a connection with him. He nodded.

"Okay.. So about a week or so ago, I decided to um.. Cut myself. Deep.. I almost bled to death.." I explained on our way to the office. By the time I had finished explaining my story, we were at the office.

"Holy shit, really?" Hunter finally asked.

"Watch your language, Mister." I heard the secretary growl.

"Sorry, Mrs. Rose.." Hunter mumbled. I let out a quiet chuckle.

"It looks like you two know eachother well?" I grinned.

"Shut up." Hunter told me. "It was only a few times.."

"And by a few you mean..?" I asked. I was unable to shake the smile I had on my face.

"About 20..." Hunter mumbled, as he sat himself down awkwardly in a chair. He patted the seat beside him.

I grinned even wider. "20? Badass." I whispered, keeping a close eye on the secretary. He let out a low laugh.

"You have no idea. What's your name, anyways? I mean, other than Miss Cross." He asked, looking into my eyes. I could feel my face flush.

"Its Heaven.." I mumbled, trying to hide my cheeks. Unsuccessfully, of course.

"Well, mines Hunter. Why are you blushing?" He asked, giving me a quick smile. It made me melt. Which only made me blush more.

"Um. No reason." I mumbled. Strangely, I managed to look back up at him and keep my blushing under control.

He chuckled. "Well, there has to be a reason." He added, touching my hair. "Do you dye your hair? I could have swore I saw you with dark brown hair. Now it's strawberry blonde?" He asked, as he curled a piece of my hair around his finger.

I couldn't help but smile. "Um, no I don't. Maybe it was another girl?" I told him, looking straight into his eyes.

"Hmm.. Maybe." He said as he dropped my hair. "I like it anyways. It's a pretty color." He added as he grinned widely.

"Heaven Cross, you will now go and see the principal." Mrs. Rose told me, looking over her glasses.

"Um, okay." I mumbled as I got up. I felt Hunter reach for my hand. I turned around and looked at him.

"Good luck, Heaven.." He whispered as I turned to walk away.

This chapter was all based on what Hunter and Heaven felt. Sorry if it's a little boring. It's just them talking back and fourth.. But this part of the story will come into play later.

Thanks so much if you're still reading along. Sorry I haven't really been updating. I've been kind of busy.
