You held me softly as I breathed,
My heart in your hands,
My fears awake for your answer,
I almost ran till your hand grabbed mine,
Your other hand to my cheek as I cried my fears to your shirt,
He didn't move,
It wasn't minutes that I stopped, it was hours,
And it was the last day of our chance to know each others feelings,
I asked,
When everyone had left,
On the school steps,
The day became night as he held me,
His silence deafening,
When I finally stopped and looked up to him,
He was smiling,
And I felt my heart turn,
It's beat stopped then started as I stared into his green eyes,
He opened his mouth and told me,
He loved me,
