Last Breath

I checked my phone. It was eleven thirty. Thirty minutes to find a random tree in the middle of the forest.

Fantastic.

Lets not forget that I ran out of water like an hour ago.

I had to find Finn. It was life or death for both of us. I felt like I looked in every corner of the entire forest. I read the map and realized that the large circle that represented the tree was on the other side of the forest, across the Crazy Creek. I checked my phone.

I had twenty minutes. I ran

I was out of breath when I finally found Crazy Creek. It looked as cold and murderous as ever. I stepped in slowly. I smiled as I stood, without being slammed with ice and water. I began to cross, when suddenly, a rock that was being carried down stream hit my knee at full force.

I cried out. My leg was broken. I couldn't go any farther, but I was already in the middle of the creek, so I couldn't go back either. Pain blinded me. I took a staggering step forward. The water pushed me over as if I was a sandcastle being swallowed by a wave. My forehead hit a stone wedged at the bottom and I felt warm blood pooling around me. I closed my eyes as my final breath was pulled out of me.
