Kim began Hannah's orientation to become a new Kardashian. She starts with explaining the perks of being one to convince Hannah that there is nothing better than being famous for no reason, although Hannah thought that was a bit shallow, she didn't emphasize it anymore.
Something about the word 'breakthrough' keeps Hannah from listening to Kim rambling about her luxurious lifestyle. Hannah is not an idiot, she knows she's gonna leave her life as a hard-working eighteen-year-old with no parents just to become somebody else.
From her attitude as being a fair and just person, she became greedy just hearing Kim mentions earning upon hundred thousands of dollars just by posing for pictures, attending awards and conferences, or by simply getting link to someone famous. She also reminded Hannah that starting a charity will help her boost her career and improve her image to the media.
Hannah doesn't need to think twice. After delivering for Pizza Hut she has to be on her way to pick up a coat for her manager at the dry cleaning. Then at about 6PM she has to babysit twins to be provided a decent meal. At about 9PM her shift at some cheap diner where truck drivers spent most of their time to hang-out before taking off. The diner smells like cigar and whiskey and gross burgers. She wouldn't risk eating there, she's seen all the grease and everything. Her shift continues until 1PM. After that she'll ride the bus for an hour, arriving at her apartment with no electricity most days. Usually old couples live there, or potheads. The only thing big inside her apartment is here old air mattress. She would look around the room and realize she's basically a beggar with no friends or family.
There you have it, thought Hannah. My life. I'm not even considered an average citizen, I'm so poor and miserable that it occured to me several times to rob somebody. Of course she didn't. She's against crime or violence.
Being a Kardashian won't be a crime. But it will involves several consequences. And Hannah never even dreamed of getting all the attention of the people around her. She just need to work hard to make ends meet.
Hannah then thought that a change will be better than being stuck with everything.
She listened to Kim intently.
"Revealing you would shock the whole world. I mean, at least they'll know that anyone can be worthy to become us. It's good for publicity. And also bad." Kim informed her.
Hannah was confused, "so if it's bad...then why do it?"
Kim chuckles, "the media needs bad and good publicity. By that, commentaries would be fucking endless. And damn it! They'll be talking about you for months."
"And that's good?" Hannah asked, puzzled.
"It would be great. Us Kardashians live for attention. We're used to it. We don't complain much." Kim explained slowly.
Hannah was liking the idea less. But she needs to do it, she already signed the contract.
"Still though...no butt implants?" She asked again.
Kim beamed at her, "if you want to we can arrange to do it for you."
Hannah's eyes are wide as saucers, "god...no. I thought Kylie said that I won't be needing those because I resemble you?"
Kim sighed, "that's true. But if you just let us enhance your butt to be bigger. Your boobs are big already. And your waist is tiny. We might need to take you to a dermatologist to give your skin a glow. You look like a zombie."
It was Hannah's turn to sigh, "yeah. Would be great idea."
Kim was alreading tapping on her rose gold iPhone. Then Hannah remembered. "What about my car?! You know...the one I used to get here?"
"I'll ask two of our bodyguards to take it back along with the payment for that pizza," Kim scrunched her nose in disgust. She must hate pizza.
"So...can I eat the pizza?" Hannah asked, her eyes full of glee. She hasn't had breakfast and it's already past lunchtime.
"No." Kim answered firmly. "I'm still debating if I should put you on liquid diet like Kendall."
"What?!" Hannah already feels the rage boiling inside her. These Kardashians doesn't have any idea what she's been through just to get a decent meal. "You can't just decide for me if I should be hungry everyday just to please other people." Her voice was an octave higher...probably two octaves.
Kim just shrugged. Then answered, "that's one of our duties. To please everyone around us."
"Splitting after 72 days of your married life was suppose to make people happy?" Hannah decided it is unbearable not ask Kim about her marriage to the NBA player Kris Humphries, which only lasted for 72 days.
Kim chuckled, Hannah thought it sounded taunting yet indescribably beautiful, "darling, it was merely a publicity stunt. People assumed but of course it was never proven true. The only ones who knew the truth is our family."
Wow, that's mean.
Hannah couldn't blame Kim, she knows the famous personality has her ways. She would've never guess Kim is cunning and smart. She always assumed most of them are airheads.
"You'll learn soon enough all the tricks to keep your life glam." Kim stated.
Hannah sighed, "when will I start all these? The dermatologist, the catwalk, how to get guys."
"Darling, guys won't be a problem. We only need to fix you. Omg, perhaps your hair is the best way to start. After that let's proceed to your wardrobe." Kim gave a geniune smile. "Personality would have to come later. And then guys."
Please. Thought Hannah and rolled her eyes.
"Don't ever do that again. It's a very annoying gesture." Kim commented.
"We're girls, we're suppose to do that when we're annoyed or pissed or simply bored." Explained Hannah.
"Now I see you have some sort of personality or attitude. Oh, Kris will love you." Kim said with a laugh.
"Your former husband?"
"No, silly. Our mother. Kris Jenner." Kim answered.
"Oh."
"But I guess I'm gonna have to name you Kardashian, I just don't know who's daughter are you. I would love to sign as your adopted mother but that's weird. So it's gonna have to be Kris, I guess. You just have to possess Kardashian as your last name because we can't afford to make you a Jenner. You'll be Kendall and Kylie's version of a Kardashian." Kim said in a monotone voice.
Hannah was awkwardly scratching her head, "yeah. But Kylie and Kendall are Kardashians as well in some ways. Why would they need another version of Kardashian in me? Doesn't makes sense."
Kim clears her throat before speaking, "uhh...yeah." Her tone is now matter-of-factly. "But they are Jenners. Not original Kardashians."
"So am I." Answered Hannah.
"You'll become me though. We look alike, don't you notice that?" Kim said like it's the most obvious thing in the universe."
Hannah didn't know what to say.
"I'll make some arrangements now. It won't be easy, but I have my ways." Kim smirked.
