"So are you prepared for the camping trip...Packed your bag?", mom says, whilst moping the floor. I on the other hand, was cleaning the living room, you know the usual stuff like throwing the unwanted and arranging the cushions. "not yet, need to go shopping for that ", I told her and she nodded.

"So, What are you going to do there?", she asked me. Guess she didn't read the brochure after all.

"Well in the brochure it says that we will be going white river rafting, bungee jumping, zip-lining, zorbing, swimming in the lake, kayaking, etc." I replied.

"Sounds like fun" she muttered, she looked like she was in a deep thought. "Wait, did you say bungee jumping?" she asked raising her eyebrow.

"Yup!" I said popping the 'p', already excited about bungee jumping (since I never went for one before).

She looked at me and blinked ones,twice and then went back to mopping.

"Laura, I don't think I'm going to sign up for that" she told me in a stern voice.

"What!Why?No you can't do that..It-Its not fair",I whined.

"Laura, It isn't safe. Its to risky, I cant let you go for something that dangerous!", she exclaimed.

"Oh please mom, it's not like I'm going to just jump without anything attached to me and there are safety measures. Mom...please!", I begged. I even threw in a puppy dog pout with those wide eyes, it always gets her.

"A no is a NO", she replied, avoiding eye contact. I guess she knows I'm doing the puppy dog face.

"Pretty please..Mom it's like one of the most top priority in my bucket list". OK that was a major lie, I don't even know what is the first thing in my bucket list because I abandoned it a long time ago. I was to lazy to try any of them

"But-", my mom was cut off by the ring of the door bell. I walked towards the door and opened it, a familiar face greeted me.

"Hey Laur, I was thinking we could go out shopping cause I know you don't have anything to wear for the trip...", she trailed. As much as I hate shopping, she was right I did need some clothes since I didn't go for shopping in a long time.

"Who is it?",my mom called from the kitchen.

"Claire!" I yelled back.

I nodded at Claire and gestured her to come in,"Give me 10 minutes" I told whilst hopping up the stairs to my room.

By the time I came down stairs I heard my mom and Claire laughing on something. My mom and Claire has a close relationship, my mom acts like Claire is her second daughter, I don't blame her, Claire is like my long lost sister.

"Mom, me and Claire are going to the mall to do a bit of shopping since I need to buy new clothes" I told her while grabbing a lollipop from the candy jar and tossing a packet of Skittles to Claire. I opened the lollipop cover and popped the lollipop in my mouth.

My mom muttered,"Finally, you haven't gone for shopping in ages!" I bid goodbye to my mom and followed Claire out of the house to her car, right then a question popped up because my stomach was making weird noises.
