Prologue

2 minutes - she was thinking to herself. The longest to minutes in her life. She sat on the ground of the bathroom. The ticking clock in her head and the small stick right next to her. She closed her eyes. If her life was going to change now, she wanted the last few seconds of her old life to last as long as possible. Then she opened her eyes and looked at the clock. The two minutes were over. She closed her eyes again and took a deep breath like it was the last one in her life. She took the small stick into both her hands and opened her eyes
It was positive
Positive...
Positive!
It took her a few seconds to realize what was actually going on.
She was pregnant
In real life. Though the chance that the test would be negative were extremely little, she still hoped it won't be real. It was like a dream in which this never happened and which she tried not to escape from.
A knock on the door brought her again to reality.
"Emma is everything alright?"
It was her foster mother.
"Yes.. Yeah I just don't feel good."
Which was absolutely not a lie. What was she going to do now?
Normal girls who get pregnant early get support from their parents right?
Well, her parents weren't there to help her. They died in an accident when Emma was little.
Now she was on her own. Except for Killian. Her boyfriend. The father.
He didn't live in a foster home, he lived with his parents. He and Emma have been together since they first met in kindergarten. They have been friends from their first meeting and since Emma lost her parents, his family became hers. Except for the fact, that they didn't adopt her and the youth welfare office won't let her live with them so she was sent to a foster home.
This would turn their whole world upside down. They are both at the same university. In the middle of their study of medicine.
A child would only make things worse. For a very short moment, she thought about an abortion but in the same moment she forgot the idea again. She won't murder her own child. Hers and Killian's.
She decided to tell him tomorrow after the weekend.
The next day
She prepared herself to tell him the life changing news. They hadn't seen each other the whole weekend so she already thought they could find a silent place to talk. But he didn't appear. The first class began, but Killian didn't show up. He would've text her if he was sick or at home. Something terrible must've happened.
In the evening she went to his parents and his house to find out where he is.
His mother opened the door and smiled when she saw Emma.
"Emma, what a lovely surprise" she said and hugged her. His parents loved her.
"Hey.. I was wondering where Killian is. He wasn't I school today and didn't answer my text messages and I was a little worried where he was." Emma asked. His mothers smile faded away when she realized that Emma had no clue.
"Didn't he tell you, Emma?"
"Tell me what?" She asked worried.
"He applied for an aid project in Africa and had been chosen as a doctor. He's on his way to Nigeria right now."
Silence
Emma's heart was breaking into a million pieces and it took her minutes to even realize what was going on.
"What?"
That was the only word that came out of her mouth. She stared into Killian's mother's eyes in disbelief.
"I'm sorry I thought he told you before he left." Killian's mom was as surprised as Emma was because she didn't except him to just leave.
"Well he didn't." Emma was disappointed.
And sad. And angry. There were just too many emotions in her mind that moment.
"I- I need a minute. I will call you later." Emma said and left the house.
"Bye" Killian's mom said but Emma already shut the door behind her.
How could he do such a thing? How could he just leave? Leave her here on her own. He was all she had. The most important thing in her life and this part of her had just been taken away.
Arrived at the foster home, her foster mother opened the door. Emma didn't say hello or anything she just walked straight to her room, keeping her head down so no one would see her red puffy eyes.
After a few moments, her mother came into the room.
"Emma? I have something for you." She showed her an envelope which says To Emma
She took it without saying a word and looked at her confused.
"Killian left this letter this morning. He told me to not give it to you until you know where he was."
Then she left the room.
Emma looked at the envelope. Even to see his handwriting made her wanna cry.
She opened it and found a letter inside.

Dearest Emma,
When you read these words, you will know that I'm already on my way to Africa. This decision was the hardest thing in my life and I swear if I would've had one more moment to think about it, I would've stayed. But this is a fantastic chance. You know that I always wanted to help children with medicine and support and this was the perfect chance.
The decision to leave you was the hardest decision I ever had to make in my life.
Don't you dare think that I don't love you anymore. I will love you forever and I hope you will still love me too.
I guess you are sad or angry or just disappointed and I can understand that. I just wasn't able to say goodbye to you, look into your eyes and leave because I know myself and I know that the moment I'd look at you, you would've changed my mind and I would've stayed.
But I really want to take this chance and to do this. And I promise there is not a day that goes by that I won't think of you. I hope you know that.
I really hope that you can understand and you will still love me when I'm back

This broke her heart even more. He was gone now. Forever.
She looked at her phone. Killian didn't even received the text messages she sent to him, neither mentioned an address to contact him. She couldn't even tell him that she was pregnant.
No
No this can't be real no
No.
She made a decision. A decision that will eventually cause more trouble but in her situation, the only thing she could do.
She will give up the baby for adoption once it's born. In her mind there was something telling her not to do but she couldn't. Her love just went out of her life, she was in the middle of her study and... Pregnant.
Killian dared to just leave. To not giving her a change to tell her. This was all up to her now.

Soooo another weird themed cs fanfic. Well I've had no wifi for the last 6 days and probably won't have any connection to the world till next year so I have a lot of time to write. This is inspired by a German tv show with which I'm SO obsessed with gooood *-* I think I'm the only one of maybe three (one of them is my mom yay) who actually know this show ;D
