Laura's POV

He never really told me what was bothering him, what was making him acting so weird. I asked so many times the same exact question and everytime he would zone out, thinking if he could tell me or not.

At the end, he didn't tell me. He would change the subject every 5 minutes.

I steppped on my front door looking for my keys but I didn't find them. I swear I put them in my pocket. Well, the last option is knock.

I knocked three times and waited 10 minutes outside for someone to open the door. But no one opened.

I looked again my surroundings, then at the sky. A color grey was covering it and soon thunders were heard. People running to be somewhere safe, or just to get in the car before the rain began.

"Oh god" I whispered to myself. Definitely, world hates me.

Minutes later, you could heard the tiny drops of water that were falling and making contact with the street. And then those tiny drops became big ones.

I put a hand on my forehead thinking what to do. If I stayed there I would easily get wet more than I already am, so my other option was knocking on the house next to mine.

I am going to regret later.

The lights were on, so I suppose they are inside.

Rapidly, I started to run to get to the other house and step on their front door. I knocked three times, not wanting to see who is going to answer.

Again, I looked around trying to find some kind of miracle and in just a split of a second my parents would be on our driveway. But no, instead there is a handsome blonde boy staring down at me, who happens to be Ross.

When he saw me standing in the rain, getting wet by the water, he didn't hesitate to pull me inside the house and rapidly closing the door behind.

"what are you doing here? you do know that is raining outside, right?"He asked me with a tiny bit of concern in his voice. "No really, I didn't know it" I said sarcastically at him rolling my eyes for his silly question.

"I was just asking, don't need to be sarcastic. But, seriously what are you doing here?" He asked me again.

"well, I forgot where I put my keys so I have no way to enter to my house so I was wondering if you could let me stay here until the rain stop or until my parents come" I looked down knowing already what would be his answer. N--

"okay"

Wait, what?

I widened my eyes and looked at him surprised. I seriously thought he wouldn't say yes. If I was him, my answer would be a big no. Because who would want to help a girl that involved you into a big mess?

Apparently, he

"I-I....t-thank you" I stuttered not having words to how much I am thanked he let me stay for a few hours.

He smiled at me, "you don't have to thank me, I would never let you stay in the pouring rain".

Sometimes he is really nice with me, but guess what? he could be a jerk sometimes too.

He led me to the living room where all of his family were laughing and talking, maybe remembering old times. Now I feel bad for intruding.

"oh hey, who is this beautiful girl" a woman ,probably in her forties, asked.

"mom this is Laura my..." He trailed of looking over at me for me to continue. It's his family and they deserve to know about our 'relationship'.

"I am his girlfriend" I said smiling at her.

"well Laura, I am Stormie, Ross' mother. Nice to meet you" She extended her hand for me to shook it but she never stopped smiling. "nice to meet you too"

"AHHHHHH" I heard a girly scream behind. I looked where the scream came from and saw a tall blonde girl running over at us. "My brother actually has a girlfriend!, I thought he would never move on from....." she didn't end that sentence, probably because Ross had looked down with a sad expression.

"never mind, I am Rydel" before I could say my name, but I am pretty sure she knows already, she pulled me into a hug.

When we pulled away 3 guys came and greeted me. "I'm Riker ,the older one, he is Rocky and the younger is Ryland"

"hi" they all said together.

"hi" I said back to them waving a little.

"hello. I am Ross' dad, Mark" a man introduced himself to me. Now knowing he is his dad.

"I am Laura, nice to meet you" I was being very polite. I don't want their first impression of me to be a bad one.

"Mom can Laura stay over for dinner?" Ross asked his mom.

"of course she can. And Laura, Rydel is going to let you borrow some dry clothes so you won't get sick" Stormie said smiling at me.

I nodded at her. Maybe this won't be that bad how I imagined.

"so.." Rydel began talking in this very uncomfortable moment. It was Rydel, Ross and I on the living room cause' the other ones were doing the dishes.

"so, what?"

"you two are a couple, both are extremely cute" she complimented us gushing a little.

"yep" he said putting a hand over my shoulder and smirking at his sister. I faked a smile and nodded.

"Rydel, can you come her please?" someone shouted from the kitchen. "excuse me" she said before standing up.

When she was nowhere in sight I pulled his hand away.

"keep your hands to yourself, buddy"

"sorry" He muttered.
