It's been a great couple of months and now it's my princess 2nd birthday is kind of a big deal cause this is the first time I'll be here for her birthday and I've planned on getting her the perfect gift. Lately We've been talking about getting a puppy and I thought it would be nice to see Michele and a new puppy to grow up together and it can take care of her be her bestfriend. But I also wanted it to be a great family dog and I've always wanted a husky and Camz thinks it's a great idea so I did my research and found a local pet shop that has a 1 1/2 month puppy so today I plan on picking it up and get all its necessaries while Camz sets up for the party it's just some close friends and family nothing to big. So we get up eat and I get ready to leave I go down stairs and kiss Michele's head while she watches t.v
"Happy birthday Michele!" I say and she just smiles
I walk to the kitchen and see Camila drinking the last of her coffee and putting it in the sink I wrap my arm around her waist from behind and kiss her neck.
"I'm leaving Ima go pick up that puppy and get all the stuff it needs and then pick up her cake."
I say kissing her cheek she turns around and wraps her arms around my neck and kisses my lips.
"I can't believe she's two I know this isn't her first birthday but since I wasn't there for the first one I feel like it is. Thank you Camila I love you so much baby." I kiss her and pull her in a tight hug.
"It okay babe all that matter is that your here now and you won't miss any more and by the way you were there for her first birthday." She says I look at her confused
"On her birthday I took her to the hospital with the girls and we celebrated there so you were there but you weren't but it okay now you may have missed one birthday but there other important ones you won't miss and I love you to Lauren don't forget that." She says and kisses my lips
"Thank you anyway, I'll be back with another member of the family." I kiss her one more time and walk out the door.
I get in the car and head to the pet store. As soon as I walk in I see the puppy I want to get he's perfect small enough for her and everything. I walk to the cashier. And she smiles at me.
"Hello I'm Maria how can I help you." She greets me with a smile
"Well Maria id like to buy that puppy over there for my little princess." I say she nods and walks to the puppies
"Which one would you like?"she asked I point to the husky she picks it up hands it to me I starts licking my face.
"It already likes you do you need anything else food,treats, collar, leash, dog soap, dog bed training pads, toys." She asked and I nod
"I'm going to need every this this little guy will need." I smile and she nod and starts grabbing everything I need after that I pay for everything and walk out the store and bump into someone and drop my keys
"I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." I say and they pick up my keys and heads em to me.
"It okay I- Lauren?" They say and I look at the person recognize that voice anywhere.
"Mom?" I say in disbelief
"Oh Lauren" she says and hugs he tight but then there's a Yelp from the puppy that I forgot I was holding and she back away quick
"I'm sorry did you just get it?" She asked I smiled
"Yah I just got it for Michele's birthday." I say with a huge smile on my face thinking about my daughters birthday. She smiles as well and then frowns
"Um how is she?"she asked awkwardly and then I remember she hasn't seen her yet and what she did to me.
"Well if you came and visited maybe you'd see how amazing she is doing and adorable she is but you don't care cause why would you it's not like you cared when your daughter came out of a coma so why care about your own granddaughter." I say and start walking to my car and she follows I open the trunk and load the stuff and put the puppy in the front seat with its chew toy. And walk the my side.
"Wait Lauren!"she says grabbing my arm
"What?!"
"I'm sorry it was your father who didn't want to see you I was by you side the whole time while you where in that hospital and I wasn't there the day Michele was born but I was there the next day and the only reason I stopped coming around was because your father and then Camila took care of her I know she was in good hands and she also had the girl. But I was there Lauren and I'm here now if you let me I'll do anything just let me be there for both of you." She begs
"Why? Why doesn't he want you or taylor and Chris to see my or Michele what did I do that's so bad for him to abandon me and his grandchild like that." I say she looks down
"I don't know that's something you have to talk about him to get that answer every time I ask why we just yell at each other I hate the fighting so I just listen to what he says but I'm here for you laur."
She says rubbing my arms gently I sigh
"Okay... We're having a little birthday party for her and if you want you can come only you I still need to talk to dad but not today maybe later today is my little girls birthday and I don't need anyone to ruin it I'll give you my number text you the address and I need to pick up Michele's cake and take this little guy to her." I say she nod then crushes me into a hug.
"Bye Lauren I missed you and I love you so much don't forget." She whispered into my ear.
"I missed and love too bye." I say and get into the car and pet the little guys head and go to the bakery to pick up the cake.
