We both stood there glaring at each other for a moment. Until then he opened his mouth to yell at me “You?”

Neither of us blinked and the world around us seemed to be stopped for a second. Seriously this is the second time I am bumping into him. I tried hard to read what the hell was going on in that little head of his. Because his face bore the same expression as yesterday.

“Do you have the habit of fighting with people over the things they saw first?” I snapped at him before he could say the same thing to me.

He looked taken aback at my response “Really. I should ask the same to you”

“Me?” I asked him raising my eyebrows.

“I saw this carton first and had my hands on this first” I responded pulling the carton to my side.

“I have never seen a stubborn person like you ever” he said without any reaction in his face.

He’s calling me stubborn.

“You are no one to speak” the words slipped before I could control. I forgot a main aspect this evening. This person I am yelling right now is my professor for god’s sake…

“You are unbelievable” he said dragging the carton over his side.

“Come on” I sighed. We both stood there glaring and dragging the bottle side by side.

“Morning you took the water by cheating me. But that’s not happening now” he yelled little louder.

Is he a child; Playing games taking turns…

Well I am not going to give up. It was hard not to look at that angelic face and glare. When all I wanted was to smile genuinely at him.

“Excuse me sir/Mam. Is there a problem?” a salesman came and stood in between us. But still we both haven’t left the hold in that bottle.

“Yeah… This” I started to tell but he cut me off.

“I took the carton first but this girl over here is claiming it has her’s” he said in the tone of accusing.

I opened my mouth but this time the salesman stopped me.

“Sorry for the trouble caused.  But that carton is out of date. That’s why we have emptied all other cartons.”

I gasped knowing that I had engaged into a fight with my professor over a spoiled bottle of milk. What an embarrassment. Shit…

“It was another salesman’s job. Guess he forgot to remove the single carton you are holding. I’ll fetch new bottles within second’s sir. Can you please wait mam” with that he gave an excusing smile and ran off in that direction.

He had given up his hold over the bottle. So I placed it in the counter. I took this an opportunity to check out the man standing next to me.

He looked different than he was in the morning. Only he can look like a handsome pro even in faded jeans and shirt. He was wearing the same blue color shirt; but this was of different shade. Maybe blue’s his favorite color.

His hair was not neatly combed. Instead it looked like he had rolled in his bed a few times. As I was practically drooling over him; his eyes suddenly met mine. And I stuttered not knowing where to look to hide my embarrassment. Great now he’s going to think that I have been checking him out.

Out of the corner of my eyes I found him looking at me. Ugh…

If only I would have known already; at least I would have been in a decent clothing. Oversized shirt and baggy pants are definitely not a way to inspire a handsome man.
