Eva's PoV

As I expected, word spread about the letter, and it was treated like a big joke.

"Cheer up Eva." Agnes said.

"Yeah, look at the bright side maybe this way you'll be able to get over him." Riley suggested.

"Easy said than done, Riley." I mumbled.

"Anyway, we can't be sat here doing nothing, we've got a lot of revision to do. Exams start in a couple of weeks."

"Yeah your right." I agreed sighing.

We ambled towards the library.

"Oh but guys you don't understand how sexy he looked as he walked towards me, I literally thought I was going to pass out." I thought out loud.

A bunch of girls walked passed us giggling. "That's her, that's her." They whispered quite loudly pointing at me I instantly turned a bright crimson.

"Oi! What y'all laughing at? What's so funny?!" Riley yelled.

They stopped and began scurrying away.

"Thanks Riley." I said.

She smiled a little not wanting to show too much mercy, as that was how Riley was. Acted tough and strong but inside really she was the kindest girl ever.

Halfway through our revision session I suggested. "Do you guys want to have a sleepover? as it is Friday, and we can get much more revision done, We'll order some takeaway."

"Sure, I'll ask my mom to drop off some clothes." Riley replied.

"Yeah that's cool." Agnes answered.

I opened my door, letting my friends in. Tinsel was sleeping and the house was silent. We climbed up the stairs heading to my room.
After we had a few snacks, then began revising some more.

"Jeez I hate maths," Riley moaned. "It wasn't so bad until they started adding letters with the numbers."

"I'm tired, let's take another break." I sighed walking over to my desk to light some scented candles, then took out my secret stash of chocolate.

We chatted about everything not noticing that Tinsel had joined us and began taking an interest to the candles.

"Let's get some fresh air, I'm feeling quite warm." Agnes said.

We grabbed our shoes and set out. However, we hadn't realised that we had left Tinsel still looking excitedly at the bright flames.

-
"Higher Riley, higher." I shouted as she pushed me on the swings.

I enjoyed the refreshing cool breeze passing through my golden hair. A few minutes later I jumped off and I checked my phone to see 3 missed calls from my dad and 2 from my sister.

"Oh let's get back I think my dad needs me."

As we casually approached my house I could see smoke, a lot of smoke emerging from my bedroom window. We gasped and began pacing it towards my house.
Bella and dad were stood outside wrapped in a blanket each with Tinsel stood at their feet, the firefighters doing their best to put out the flames. I stood in shock as I watched my house burn down.

Moments later, a policewoman walked towards us. "We are so sorry but up-stairs is full destroyed which, as you can see has crushed down onto the lower-ground." My dad simply nodded in understanding as the policewoman carried on informing him things.

Riley and Agnes looked at me with sympathy and tried comforting me with a hug, I was truly devastated as this house was the only house I lived in since I was born. Memories of my mom were trapped inside, all I could think of was Stripe my stuffed dolphin toy, which was the greatest memory I had of mom before she died from cancer. A tear rolled down my cheek. I whispered a small prayer to try solace myself.
