I flattened out my skirt as I got into the car with Shan

"You do realize I can drive myself right?" I said digging in my purse getting a piece of gum

"Now Es, you know the doctor said you can't be driving, now what if you get to tingling in your feet or hands?" She said

"What if stick my foot up your ass?" I said avoiding to admit she was right

"Whateva we're here" she said parking

"But seriously ,thank you so much you've been such a great ass friend and I really appreciate that, but could you ease back a lil I have cancer I'm not handicapped" I chuckling lighting up the mood

"Okay lets go"

We walked inside the building as everyone greeted us

"Hello Essence, you know what to do" Joyce told me

Ironic she was here when my mom was here and now she has to treat me

I walked into the familiar room and took a seat into the spinning chair as he begin to talk

"Hello Essence" Dr. Hanston said

"Wassam' doc" I greeted

"Hello Shan"

"Hiii"

"Okay Essence I have good news and I have bad news" he said getting my attention

"Talk to me doc" I said

"Okay the good news are I have prescribed you some medicine for you urinary discomfort" he spoke smiling.

"Fuck yea" I said doing my own little hooray

"Bad news is you need a hearing aid" he sighed seeing my smile drop

"Doc you wanna explain why I gotta have a hearing aid when I have ovarian cancer" I said getting upset

"Certain drugs used in ovarian cancer treatment can cause some hearing loss or either kindney damage,to help protect your kidneys you have to take extra fluid intravenously" he explained

"So you can save my kidneys but not my hearing?"

"Unfortunately"

The treatment was over and I was in terrible pain as always

"You hungry?" I heard Shan ask

"No, just take home" I groaning feeling another sharp pain in my abdomen

"Okay first we have to go get your hearing aid" she protested

"No Shan take me home, I'm fucking hurting, fuck that hearing aid" I said gripping my thighs together as the tears fell from my face

I grabbed some tissues to clean my face and took my new medicine

We finally made it to my house to see August car parked in my driveway

"Bye Shan, see you when I see you" I said getting my things

I walked in my house to see August sitting on couch and Autumn playing around and something burning in the kitchen

I race into the kitchen to see a girl trying to cook ; keyword trying

"Who the fuck are you" I said angrily

"Oooh Tee Es say bad word,gotta put money in the swear jar" she said coming around the corner with her jar

"Well here, cause Tee Es gotta potty mouth so you might wanna go upstairs in your room" I said handing her a hundred dollar bill

She had her own room in my house in case we have sleep overs

"I'm Jordan, you must be Es I have heard so much about you" she said cheerfully

Right now I kinda wish I had my hearing aid so I could tune her annoying ass out

"Funny I've heard nothing about you" I said walking out the kitchen

I turned to August and grabbed his shirt bringing him up to my face

"Get her out of my house now" I said walking out to my car

I sat in the car taking a deep breath deciding whether or not I should do this

"I can't do this" I said getting my things out of the car going back inside

I seen August Whoredon sitting on my couch, watching tv cuddled up and shit

"Umm....can y'all get the fuck out of my house" I said cutting the tv off

"Mayne, why you tripping" August argued getting up

"Hold the fuck up, pump the brakes, I am not a man and last I checked my shoes were tied so therefore I am not tripping" I said getting in his face

"Your such a selfish bitch" Jordan said jumping into the conversation

"Thank you, anything else you wanna add?" I said smiling

"Yea, there is one how can you talk about me being a whore but you slept with your dad's bestfriend" she smirked

I turned to August and punched him the nose and turned to punch her too

"Both of y'all can get the fuck out, I got Autumn" I said watching them slam the door in anger

I tiredly walked up the stairs and went to Autumn's room and saw her holding a paper in her hand

"What's wrong baby" I said kneeling down, feeling pain but ignored it

I saw the paper and saw it was a mother and daughter dance going on at 6:00 tonight

"I don't have mommy to go with" she said sadly

"Well what are we waiting for let's get you dressed we gotta go" I said trying to get up but Autumn helped me

"You okay?" She asked helping me up

"I'm fine, now we gotta get ready for the dance sweety let's see" I said roaming through her closet of clothes I bought her

"Ahh here we go" I said pulling out a pink fluffy dress

"I love it"she yelled

"Help Tee Es pick her dress" I said grabbing her hand walking into my room

"Why do you have all these pills" she said looking at my medicine bag

"Because Tee Es is really sick so those help her get better a little bit" I said looking in my closet

"What kind of sickness?"

"I have cancer" I sighed

"Are you going to lose you hair and die" she said sadly

"Lets not worry about that okay I will be fine" I said pulling out my dress similar to hers but longer

"I love you Tee Es" she said hugging me

"I love you too baby"
