The Unknown Tale

Prolonged

"Finally! Tapos na ang finals namin. Happy-happy na naman" tuwang tuwa kong sabi na halos mapunit na ang aking labi sa laki ng aking ngiti, habang ang aking dalawang kamay ay nakalagay sa ulo ko. Naglalakad na ako pauwi nang makuha ng dagat ang atensyon ko. Tumigil muna ako sandali at naupo doon sa isang mababang bakod na pumapagitan sa dagat at sa daan. As I sat there, it felt like the sea was calling me to go and get closer to it, so I did. I sat near the shore, kung saan hindi pa rin ako maabot ng tubig dahil mahirap magcommute ng basa.

I closed my eyes for a moment and let the smell of the sea breeze fill my lungs. I listened carefully to its calm waves along with the sound of the birds flying freely in the sky. It took me a minute before I opened my eyes, because the sound that it makes is just so relaxing. I felt like I don't have problem or anything to worry about. But then I decided to open my eyes slowly to watch the birds flying and the small waves. As I looked around, I was shocked to see a guy standing in front of me. Parang nagliliwanag yung paligid nya. He's wearing a white long sleeves polo na parang medyo over-sized sa kanya with matching white pajama pants, but he was bare footed. He's kinda tall and handsome with a black hair. I stood up and I was about to ask him who he is and why he is standing in front of me. It's kinda weird kasi I was all alone here then suddenly may stranger na dadating.

Wala masyadong nadaan sa part na ito ng ganitong oras, so how come na out of nowhere may susulpot na isang lalake in a minute? I stared at his eyes and only that time I realized that he's not looking at me. He's looking at my back. Without any word, his eyes are the one that speaking for himself. He looks so worried. I know It's kinda crazy to see a man in front me that looks so very dramatic but it all looks so true. It's not the feelings that we have when we watch movies or dramas, but the feelings na we are the real characters of our own story.

Sinundan ko ang tingin nya to know kung saan or kanino ba sya nakatingin, so tumingin ako sa likod ko and I saw a girl. What's the matter with this people? They appear out of nowhere. She's also wearing white, a little white dress and she's bear footed too. She's also almost 2 meters away (I think) from me. I admit that she's kinda cute. Her hair was not that long, a medium length to be exact. As I'm describing her, she smiled, not to me but to the guy who is in front of me. She's smiling like it's a smile of an angel which made her not just cute but also pretty at the same time. But as I looked carefully into her eyes, why do I feel like the smile that she shows is not a sweet smile but a bitter smile with pain?

Di ko alam kung totoo ba o hindi itong mga nakikita ko. It's kinda weird, wait no-- It's really weird. Sino ba sila? I don't even know their names either their face. Naging kaklase ko ba sila dati? Mag girlfriend/boyfriend ba sila? If the answer is no, then bakit sila nandito sa harap ko? Ano ba? Na-wow mali na ba ako? Nasaan ang camera? Why do they act like I'm not here? Am I invisible? How come? Ang dami kong tanong pero bakit ni kaunting salita ay walang lumalabas sa aking bibig?

I just sighed and rubbed my eyes to confirm if it's only a dream or not. I'm just dreaming I said at the back of my mind. And when I'm done fixing myself, they are already gone. Inilibot ko ang mga mata ko, left or right, back and front, wala na sila. I knew it! It's just my wild imagination. Parang bula nung dumating sila ganon din nung nawala. As I was looking for them to check if they're still here or not, I saw Sam walking towards me. She's near the seashore. She looked at me and smiled sweetly like before. I waved my hand with a sweet smile too to show her that I'm glad to saw her again after so many years na hindi kami nagkita.

She's my best friend. We grew up together. She's like my great-great little and lovely sister. As I watch her walking towards me, her cute little pink dress slowly turned into a long wild red dress and her pure black short hair become red and longer. Naningkit ang mga mata ko just to make sure kung tama ba ang nakikita ko or nanlalabo lang ang mga mata ko or nag-iimagine na naman ako, pero hindi. Hindi pa rin ako makapinawala so I rubbed my eyes again using both of my hands to be sure again if what I just saw was true or just an imagination. And as I opened my eyes after rubbing it, I was shocked. The girl and the guy that I saw a while ago was just a meter away from me and they are both on my right side and Sam, she was on my left side. Her physical appearance changed a lot. I can't even recognize her. It looks like that she is not the Sam that I know. Palingon-lingon ako, sa left, then sa right, then sa left ulit, at sa right. No one dares to speak a word, but the atmosphere is the one that's saying that there is something going on here, at hindi ko alam kung ano iyon.
